Lovely restaurant serving mainly vegetarian food - Edit
Found this restaurant on Happy Cow and after a few days in Lille struggling to find good veggie/vegan options, finding this this was a real pleasure. I had a delicious tagine with tofu and rice which I would highly recommend. But I was spoilt for choice with salads, pasta, risotto, quiches etc on the menu. There are some vegan options (like the tagine) and some fish/meat dishes, but it was, I think, mainly vegetarian.

Amazing place to eat - Edit
We enjoyed the rode koe very much. The owner is a nice man which speaks also Dutch. We ordered the tika masala and the vegetarian bowl (which is actually vegan). These dishes where actually the right amount, lovely and very tasty. Besides these 2 dishes there where many vega(n) main dishes. Also for desert there are enough options. We had the apple cinnamon pie which was homemade (it looks like all the pies are homemade). The pieces are incredible big and delicious.

This restaurant has a focus on vegetarian cuisine, though they also offer (too many?) meat options.
Read moreVegan is not a problem, you will find something (and even have choice) and they have plenty of vegan cake and some other vegan desserts.
We went on a Monday evening and literally every chair in the restaurant was taken. So better reserve a table ahead!
It is quite expensive, but they use organic ingredients and everything is homemade.

Great Option for Mixed Meat/Veggie/Vegan Groups - Edit
Lovely restaurant, owner very nice. Only a couple of fully vegan options, but for a mixed group with meat eaters/vegetarians/vegans, an excellent choice that will make everyone very happy! Delicious food and yummy wine.

Best meal in Lille - Edit
Absolutely delicious food, multiple vegan options (menu also had English translation). Our server (also the owner) was bi-lingual and very accomodating. Vegan smoked tofu tagine was seasoned amazingly as well as 5 or 6 vegan desert options. Everything is hand made to order and you can really tell. The chef is the owners wife so there's a real sense of passion in what they offer. The drinks were artisan and well thought out. On the whole was actually quite inexpensive also! 10/10 evening. Only reason I couldn't give 5* is they also have meat options, but it's very much a vegan/veggie focused establishment

I had the vegan burger (which will set you back a hefty 17,50€, which is probably the most I've ever paid for a vegan burger, even the sophisticated ones (such as Les Tontons Veg in Paris)).
Read moreFirst disappointment was that if you ask for the vegan option, they'll only remove the cheese and won't add anything instead. You're really just paying the same for a lessened experience.
Then comes the patty itself.
It was tasty but the texture was like being back in 2010 when veggie patties were the rage.
Burgers have come such a long way since then, especially in recent years.
Everything was just so soft with absolutely zero crunch or bite.
So much so that by the end it just feels like you're eating vegetables in a bread.

Vegans don't have an abundance of choice since most dishes contain cheese. Meat is often optional, the focus of the restaurant is vegetarian. The soup is especially good and I was fond of the vegan plate, it contains a lot of different dishes.
