Bland and Watery

I chose the build-a-salad, which seemed like a nice, safe option. Nope. It was disgusting and I couldn't eat more than maybe a third despite being hungry. The chickpeas were straight from a can, leaving liquid in the bottom of the bowl. The zucchini was undercooked and unseasoned. But the truly awful part was the sweet potato. You would think that meant roasted and cubed, right? It was mash with cinnamon and brown sugar. Topped with salsa. Yes, that's just as bad as it sounds. I would not return!

Lots of vegan options

Best part is everything is customizable to be vegan. Not a ton of flavor on the tofu or veggies so be sure to ask for lots of sauces- they have lots of vegan choices and the staff is consistently knowledgeable

Fresh Vegan Burritos

Fresh veggie options, vegan sauces, and tofu offered. The staff have knowledge of what's vegan. If you want something quick, fresh, and tasty, I recommend!
I would love to see one more meat substitute, such as soy chorizo, sofritas, crumbles, etc.

Best variety of veg fillings in town!

This little burrito shop is not right downtown, but it's very close and with all the veg fillings it's definitely worth the quick car trip.

All house burritos are available as bowls, salads, tacos and quesadillas, and they have a great build-you-own menu full of veg options including tofu, four different types of beans and many veggies. Veg diners can sub in an extra bean or veggie filling when building their own.

I enjoyed the well filled house vegetarian burrito, El Cuervo: black beans, chickpeas, sweet potato, roasted zucchini, pico de gallo. With the sweet & spicy mango vinaigrette it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but I really enjoyed the mix of both black beans and chickpeas. I look forward to subbing in one of their other tasty sounding sauces (5 of which are vegan) and also to building my own during future visits.

The house vegan burrito comes with chickpeas, cilantro corn, peppers, veggie slaw, pico de gallo, greens, and cilantro lime vinaigrette. One thing I would love to see would be some kind of wholegrain option, if not for the rice at least for the tortillas.

The space is bright and inviting and there is outdoor seating. My top choice for veg eating in Peterborough!

Pros: Abundant veg options, Good size burritos, Bright and sunny space

Cons: No wholegrains for rice or tortillas
