De Hummus House - Korte Leidsedwaarsstraat
Korte Leidsedwaarsstraat 62, Amsterdam, Netherlands, 1017RD
Also as another location in the city. A hummus restaurant makes everything fresh each day, of which some are vegan but may not be clearly labeled. Offers hummus and pita, Mediterranean dishes like labaneh, shakshuka and sahleb. You can choose from various amounts of additional toppings, like guacamole and aubergine. Also serves fresh vegetable salads and desserts, in addition to soy milk for your coffee.

Bingo Hummus - Edit
This has got to be some of the best hummus in The Dam. I absolutely love hummus and the chick pea magic here is so creamy and silky, just the way I like it. No lumps and full of flavour. €6.99 gets you a house bowl of hummus and you can pay €2.50 for an additional topping such as aubergine, mushrooms or spicy tomato. I can vouch that the egg plant topping is exceptional. The pitta breads are soft and cloudy. Absolutely superb. I was impressed with this joint. An added bonus is you can get a glass of wine or beer to help digest your progress. The sister place near Nieuwmarkt does not have this option.
Pros: great hummus, good value , great pitta

delicious hummus - Edit
Nice friendly and relaxed restaurant serving amazing hummus. I had the classic hummus with aubergine and it was sensational, even the Pitta breads were fantastic. It's reasonably priced, portions are generous and I would definitely recommend.
Pros: high quality food, reasonably priced, friendly

Jummie hummus! - Edit
Had heard about this restaurant but was hesitant about going for dinner since I wasn't sure if it would suffice as a full meal. Then my fiance took me here as a surprise and had a great time! Wow, the food is so delicious and fresh! We started with (of course!) the hummus with pita and then shared the vine leaves and grilled veggies. We were stuffed to the max but I just couldn't help myself and had to get the vegan coconut custard. So glad I did! Will definitely go here again.
Pros: The food!!, Nice atmosphere, Friendly staff

Very nice place and food - Edit
My boyfriend and me had lunch here last Sunday. We asked for the vegan options, and it is actually pretty easy to see from the menu, for many of the ingredients are listed there (except some things the staff pointed out, I believe, some salads or so). They also have a vegan coconut dessert!
The waitress was super friendly and the atmosphere very good. The place looks very clean and nice.
We ordered hummus with pita and additional toppings of aubergine and fava beans. The pita bread was simply delicious, really 'airy' and soft. The hummus was great too, but the large amount you get makes it hard to eat it all. We were well supplied with garlic sauce, salt and pepper, which helped. My boyfriend loved the fava topping so much he kept mentioning how good it was over the next few days. I didn't like the aubergine so much, but I suppose it was prepared well and I just don't like aubergine that way (I chose it out of curiosity). However, I still really liked the meal and the place. Next time I'll order something else!
