Serves meat, vegan options available. Small cafe with an interior inspired by an old living room. Menu has several vegan options including an appetiser, mains, and a dessert. Ask your server if you want to order from the dinner menu as they will need to go ask the kitchen if it's possible first. Kitchen is closed 4-5:30pm. Plant milk available for coffee. Open Mon-Sat 11:00-00:00, Sun 12:00-00:00.

Lekker eten, jammer van het personeel - Edit
Leuke locatie met lekker eten. Alleen het personeel was heel druk en dan vooral met elkaar. We werden bij binnenkomst genegeerd en ook toen we eenmaal zaten liepen ze vooral langs en babbelden met elkaar. Jammer

We came here for a cup of coffee but noticed some nice vegan lunch options. Sadly we waited to long and when we wanted to order the kitchen was changing from lunch to prepare for dinner. We were told the snacks were available so opted for those. Always good

De Herberg, gelegen tussen veel andere restaurants / terrassen in Middelburg, weet zich prima te profleren. Uitstekend service. En een kaart met een goede keus uit vegetarische maaltijden, die ook in vegan uitvoering aangeboden kunnen worden. Voor herhaling vatbaar.

Had a lovely lunch with my partner. The sandwiches we ordered looked and tasted amazing, and the bitterballen were excellent as well. As far as we are able to tell this is one of the better options for vegans in this area.

There are multiple delicious vegan lunch options available. My girlfriend and I had two different fully vegan sandwiches. Also, a nice surprise was that there are multiple vegan snacks available (Bitterballen, vlammetjes). Overall plenty for a pleasant lunch.

Leuk plekje, duidelijke kaart, veel om uit te kiezen en eens wat anders dan een burger of falafel. We aten vegan shoarma op een Surinaams broodje en dat was super lekker, met vegan tzatziki, zuurkool, frietjes en salade. De portie was erg groot. Er zijn ook vegan voorgerechtjes en dessertjes. Lieve mensen van de bediening.

We went to the Herberg again for the first time in 3 years and were pleasantly surprised with the new menu. Menu now specifies which options are vegan unlike before and also got more options than it previously did. Everything was very delicious and came quite quickly.

At Herberg you know you’ll have a good time. The ambience is lovely, their vegan menu gets bigger every time I get there. This time I had a bun with barbecue-seasoned pulled jackfruit with a salad, fries and vegan mayonaise. They also have some nice drinks, and an amazing vegan chocolate mousse!

De Herberg is a lovely place to stumble upon when looking for a (vegan) bite to eat to go with a (plantbased) latte in a town that doesn't have many vegan options.
