CLOSED: De Groene Winkel

This is a usual health food store of average size, with quite a good selection of vegan products, such as yoghurts, musli bars, cookies and tofu. Nothing special, but good to get some vegan essentials while you are traveling! The location is also very good, close to the Oude Gracht, so it's very central.

A fabulous range of vegan and vegetarian foods. Everything you need is here; fresh, chilled, frozen and packaged. In jars and in containers too. I was hugely impressed with the chilled section. Huge range of Alpro & Provamel stuff you can't usually get in the UK like marinated tofu and soya chunks. A great shop on a lovely street in an idyllic little town.

I visit shops like these regularly in different cities, I find that the experience of shopping at this store was least satisfying. The staff wasn't friendly and even a bit rude. The prices of the goods were average or a bit expensive. Since they are located in the heart of Utrecht, the location is easily accessible. However, I find it very important that a shop respects their customers, hence I won't be visiting this store again.
