Great Vegan Options in Santo Domingo - Edit
My husband and I visited last week after spending a week in the DR. We found the vegan options to be fairly few and far between. There are much more options in Santo Domingo and we were very happy with DBL market. One thing to note is as of currently posting this review (11/18/23) they are listed on HappyCow as all vegan but when we visited they were all vegetarian, mostly vegan. We went once for dinner and once for a morning snack. Service was friendly and fast. The food was fantastic and affordable. We didn’t shop in the market as this was the last leg of our trip but they had many great items.

Amazing vegan sushi (and much more) - Edit
I stopped by this place primarily because I was looking for vegan cosmetics (soap, lotion, ...) after not being able to find any in the Colonial Zone. Found pretty much everything I was looking for.
Read moreThen took a look at their menu and was blown away at the number of vegan options. I think there are a handful of vegetarian items, but it's a large menu, and almost all of it is vegan.
I'm always on the lookout for vegan sushi, saw they had 10 different rolls, and was able to contact the store and place a delivery order.
It was awesome. I've been to one other place (Sushimar Vegano in Sao Paolo, Brazil) that was better. Impressive variety and absolutely delicious.
Unsurprisingly a little expensive, but I was completely satisfied. I'm disappointed I didn't get to try other things on their menu.

I love it, it has great vegan dishes, service is amazing. They even sell vegan cakes which is a commodity for the Dominican Republic.
