Nothing to see here - Edit

An an omni restaurant that has exactly one vegan dish. At least at lunch time. It consists of a few quality vegetables that appear to be oven roasted and glazed, and come with brown rice and soup. While it was tasty and I appreciated the fact that it wasn't advertised as "organic" (something I try to avoid as much as possible), the amount of food was only enough to satisfy a very petite office lady trying to get yet more petite. Also, 1600 yen? Really? Seriously, why bother with this place when Nagi Shokudo is within 5 minutes' walk?

Pros: High quality food, Nice enough ambience

Cons: Tiny portions, Overpriced, Only one vegan option

Yummy food in a useful location - Edit

This cafe totally saved our day once, when we were attending a work event in the nearby Cerulean Hotel and the hotel was unable to cater for our veg'n needs (can you believe it!?). A colleague pointed us in this direction and we were so grateful she did... The lunch we enjoyed was well balanced nutritionally, tasted super delicious and was priced just right. The vibe is also very pleasant, with plenty of space and sunlight (hence the name I guess) and a penchant for reassuringly natural materials, which make for a relaxed and cozy ambiance. We'd recommend you try the amazake based ginger stir-fry (shogayaki), which is truly unique and a wonderful take on the traditional pork dish that inspires it.

One thing though - we are puzzled as to why they are not organic. It looks and feels like it should be, but they do not use organic ingredients, which is a real shame and is why we would not go out of our way to go here unless already in the area and in need of a meal and/or rest.

Pros: Natural look, light-filled and spacious , Near the Cerulean Hotel, Great flavour and nutritional profiles

Cons: Not organic - this is a major over-sight
