Vegan food galore

Dayang Cafe is a restaurant attached to Berjaya Hotel, so it's only open to guests staying there. We spent 4 nights at Berjaya and enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which has a separate organic vegetarian section. 90% of the items were vegan, so we had plenty of delicious food, including local dishes. There was a good variation of dishes daily too, so it was nice to enjoy different dishes every day. Mock meats and tofu were on rotation. Breakfast was so filling we didn't need lunch. There are lots of vegan options on the a la carte lunch and dinner menu, including a nice vegan burger and chocolate cake.

perfect for vegans & vegetarian

if you stay in the berjaya langkawi resort it's the best place for lunch and dinner. you have a choice of 4 curry- they are all tasty.

Cons: not for visitors- only if you stay here

For guests only

There is a gate with a guard in front of the Resort. We came by scooter and said that we wanted to eat at Dayang Cafe. He asked, if we stayed here and when we said, that we just want to eat at the restaurant, he said "no" and we had to turn around and leave.

Cons: Only for guests at the resort

Decent Vegan Options

Stayed at the Berjaya Resort in Oct 2015 and dined at the Dayang Cafe several times for breakfast and lunch. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options including fresh fruit, soy milk, cereal and various vegan curries and such.

The regular menu has a vegan labelled section, the curry was dreadful but the chickpea salad with avocado was delicious. Overall good options but lacking in flavour.

Pros: Good variety

Cons: Lacking in taste and quality , Overpriced compared to KL and Penang
