Delicious food - Edit
I had the breakfast bagel with tempeh and it was perfect! It tasted delicious. Also, I had the purple jungle smoothie and both were 🤤🤤. The to-go containers and straws were all compostable!
Read moreThere were also a lot of fruits and vegetables, and other organic and vegan snacks & drinks for sale. We ended up getting a bag of grapes to keep in our hotel room.
There is covered seating outdoors. I liked the overall decor inside and outside.
I definitely plan to go back others days of my trip on Key West.
UPDATE: Before we left Key West my husband and I came back for our same orders again to take with us on the road…it was equally delicious and a great decision 😋…definitely will come back next time I’m in Key West.
FYI I would give 5 stars if Happy Cow allowed it

Delicious! - Edit
Everything on the menu is fully vegan with the exception of a few items with eggs, so it was great to choose from so many options! We got the breakfast burrito (tempeh instead of eggs), the breakfast bagel (also sub tempeh) and another bagel with vegan cream cheese. Everything was awesome, especially the breakfast bagel. 🤤

Just missed the kitchen - Edit
I got lost looking for this place because it’s tucked away in the neighborhood and arrived at 2:05pm. Let me be clear that they hold the cafe’s kitchen closing time to a strict 2:00pm. Fair warning. They do have a grab-and-go section with clear labels: vegan, vegetarian and even meat options. There are salads, sandwiches, dips, and spreads. There is a small health food/lifestyle section and a limited amount of groceries. Like a healthy convenience store with a kitchen and coffee shop.

Highly recommend! - Edit
Delicious fresh organic food! Many vegan options with the ability to sub tempeh for those items that are vegetarian. Serves delicious coffee with many plant based milk options (including homemade coconut milk). Breakfast burritos, açai bowls, Buddha bowls, avocado toast and so many more options. Gorgeous lush green patio outside. Highly recommend!

Former gas station, eclectic, fun. - Edit
Plenty for vegans, fresh made. The staff is kind, casual, often shared outdoor seating. Food takes a while, so best to be on island time. There is also a little store with all kinds of goodies.

Yummy! - Edit
Went here for lunch after hot yoga and a bike ride in the AM - was exactly what we needed! Super cute little funky cafe with great food and juices. Had the Buddha bowl and detox juice and my husband had the bean burger and berry smoothie - both were great, especially loved the sauerkraut in the bowl. The only downside is the price - $45 for the two of us. But hey, we were on vacation so no biggie!

I had a great time (or “thyme” — haha) here! The pesto veggie wrap was great, and a lot of food for the price. The portions are huge, so half of a wrap was enough for a meal.

Yum! - Edit
Stopped here for take-out dinner, and were very happy to find a small high quality selection of take out salads - a kale, quinoa, beet version we ate watching the sun set. Small place with a health food store vibe, friendly and easy parking - would recommend for vegans for sure!

Date and Thyme offers a significant variety of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options, all while focusing on organic. It's pretty remarkable for a restaurant to walk the organic talk, and they really do. I believe their kitchen is nearly 100% certified organic. Try the spicy tempeh wrap. The tempeh is made by a small family-owned business in Florida, and then they marinate it on site. Seriously delicious.

Worth a Visit! - Edit
Well-stocked store with a surprising variety of items, despite the small size. Comfortable, shaded outdoor seating. Lots of smoothies, juices, and coffees on the menu. Vegan and vegetarian food items are clearly marked. We stopped here for breakfast one morning, and the food was tasty! My husband had the oatmeal power bowl and I had the avocado toast. My only disappointment was that my breakfast was only one slice of toast for $5.95. We ended up stopping elsewhere for a second breakfast later that morning.
