I appreciate that they offer vegan options, but honestly, it’s nothing special. There are so many better places to eat in the area. The restaurant also didn’t feel the cleanest, so I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again.

Choose your own vegan sausage adventure - Edit
This was a great, delicious, quick food break between taking in some live music on Frenchmen St. They only have one vegan house special, but four options for a vegan sausage to build your own - so that's what I would recommend. Despite it being a busy Saturday night, the staff was friendly and helpful making sure to point me to vegan sauces to get things just right!

Read moreI got the vegan banger, which is (I think) a Beyond brat with all the fixings. It was very good. I would like to come back and have one of the more homemade vegan sausages. The seasoned tots were crispy and went well with the banger.
The balcony wasn't open when we went, but we had a cocktail and beer. Great time.

I had the Banger dog and it was fantastic. The roll really stood out. In a fun area that's open till 3:00 a.m. this is great late night food and a great place to grab a beer while eating a vegan hot dog at the counter. Be sure to get the Creole mustard on your dog. I'll be getting of one these every late night I'm here!

Nawlins has a lot more vegan options now but it wasn’t always so. Dat Dog has been around for years filling the gap. 2am, drunk, hungover, and/or just hungry? They’re there!

Order bottled water from the bar. It was pretty cheap too.

I had the smoked apple sage dog, and it was great. The bun was fresh, and it wasn’t too expensive. The tots were pretty average though, they kind of tasted like basic frozen tots you would heat up in your oven at home.
