Serves meat, vegan options available. Vegetarian dishes are clearly labeled but vegans need to ask. Some of the vegetarian dishes might be vegan or could possibly be made vegan, including zucchini sliders, sweet potato and bean burrito, a rice and vegetable bowl and pad thai. Has gluten free menu. A pub atmosphere with mostly wooden tables with benches or chairs. There are bars in at least two of the dining rooms. Open Mon-Sun 11:30am-9:00pm.

Three bean chili is great. Had the sweet potato and black bean burrito, which was very good. Just need to exclude cheese and sour cream.

Lovely atmosphere, easy to get vegan option - Edit
You need to ask to make things vegan but our waitress was SO accommodating and nice about it. If you order the tofu stir fry just ask for it without fish oil. Black bean and sweet potato burrito vegan with no cheese. Has a veggie burger didn’t ask if it was vegan cause I didn’t want it. Great experience. Food was excellent. Staff was incredible. Highly recommend.

Get creative - Edit
The staff are incredibly friendly & helpful. I’ve had 2 dishes that can be vegan - pad Thai & Buddha bowl. I first ordered the pad Thai which was fine. I’m always grateful to just have an option available. The 2nd time I got the Buddha bowl - the vegan version (soy & water broth) isn’t worth ordering BUT the noodles & veggies in it were great. So I ordered the satay sauce & took out the veggies & noodles to make my own dish. Next time I’ll order the pad Thai with extra veggies & I think that will work out great.

Bland with a hint of carelessness - Edit
Well I ordered the Big Buddha Bowl with tofu and as vegan for take out. When I asked for the vegan swap the server asked the chef if that was possible and the replied-“yeah the sauce will just be water and soy sauce” Sadly, I cannot say for sure if there was any other flavor than just water and streamed vegetables. The peppers and boc choy were ok, but the cuts were also quite large. I had to bite them in half and even still did not have enough in comparison with the quantity of noodles. Also had about 6 tiny mushrooms. If I ate in the restaurant I would have sent this dish back. 2 stars because at least they listened to my request and delivered something edible.

Quite accommodating - Edit
We chose Darby's as one of the apparently two most vegan-friendly dinner choices in Belfast. The atmosphere was really fun and busy with several dining rooms in and next to the pub area. There were a couple obvious vegan options on the menu, and when I asked further the server offered THREE different times to go chat with the chef to ask questions, and then after ordering returned to offer another accommodation for creating a special request with even more vegetables. I ended up with a huge bowl of vegan Pad Thai and lots of vegetables. It was a great experience, yummy food, and an ample portion.

Yum and yummer - Edit
This place has such a cool environment! My friend ordered the pad thai and loved it and I ordered the portobello sandwich. My sandwich was pretty bland just mushroom and bread but it was still good! My friend really enjoyed the pad thai too. The waitress was very friendly and again the environment is so cool! Parkings a little hard to get but otherwise great! Also definitely recommend snapping a photo with the elephant on the theater building!
