Sushi! - Edit
In a nondescript shopping center in Boca Raton, we found our way through Darbster, featuring farm animal photographs in the main inside dining and an enormous rooster on the patio where we dined.
What started with cackling guests celebrating a birthday (featuring a barking dog) turned into a fabulous adventure into Vegan fare!
We moved right in with the Palm Cakes...the signature dish was good, the Caesar Salad was light and crisp, the Beet TarTar, which was slightly salty, had a nice flavor; the Nachos were amazing, the Cheese Platter -- was a cornucopia of flavors, including unique, tiny sweet and spicy red Peruvian peppers (think tiny pear tomatoes).
As we maneuvered through the main course, the Black and Bleu Burger: 2 of us liked it, 2 of us thought it was just ok; the Grilled Cauliflower was not our favorite and the Sushi Special was our favorite overall.
For dessert we had the Chocolate Special. The mild ginger added to the decadence & added a different twist to it.
For the four of us, our favorites were
our amazing & knowledgable server Kate; the Cheese Plate, Nachos and the Sushi Special.
We almost didn't make the drive from Ft. Lauderdale when no one answered the phone at the restaurant...we sent an email then a voicemail which was returned.

Can use improvement - Edit
It was hot inside. Food not impressive. We didn't eat it. Almost all the food contained soy and I can't eat soy. Pretty restaurant. Will not go back. Waiter was sweating. I asked 2 people if the air was broken and they asked me if I wanted to sit outside, It was raining. I found that rude. The waiter was very nice. We ordered 6 different items on the menu. 3 came out cold. I asked for bread they brought me 1 piece.
Pros: Pretty Atmosphere
Cons: Too much soy, Food came out cold 2 times, Didn't like the taste of the food

Amazing - Edit
We ordered a pick up for their Mac n Cheese, Tacos, and Rice and beans. All I can say is wow! Tacos came with sour cream, salsa, and guacamole. It's unbelievable how similar this food is to meat and dairy. Will return for sure!
Pros: vegan, fast service
Cons: nothing

Excellent Food, Excellent Atmosphere - Edit
Last night we had a most wonderful experience at Darbster in Boca Raton. The restaurant is situated in quite an inconspicuous setting on the Federal Highway. But behind the facade hides a Nirvana of culinary delights. A vast choice of Raw and warm dishes can be chosen from an extensive menu, but the verbal list of 'specials'is at least as elaborate ! The waitress will even cite you the whole list of ingredients of every dish if you like.
The raw Chilli soup was fantastic, with two types of pepper, garlic, basil etc. A very wholesome and 'complete'flavor, the bruschetta and raw mozzarella dish also very 'pure'and 'whole'. Entrees Tacos and raw Fettucini also both real treats.
Desserts Raw Chocolate Cheesecake Pie,and Brownie also very tasty and quite wholesome. Atmosphere is very relaxed and most welcoming. Staff very friendly, very animal-friendly and knowledgeable about food.
A must for vegans, veggies, raw-foodies,....everybody really.
Pros: Excellent Food, Good Raw-Food choice, High degree of Wholesomeness

Wonderful find on Florida's East Coast - Edit
A wonderful vegan meal in an outdoor, casual but lovely setting. Server was attentive and sincerely interested in wanting to please. Our group of 3 shared several appetizers and entrees; ate too much but enjoyed every bite! Would not have found this place without the Happy Cow! Thank you!!

Darling place, great food! - Edit
The plaza seems a bit depressing when you first pull up, but when you walk inside the restaurant is classy, warm and beautiful. The outdoor patio in back is the best, with wonderfully mismatched furniture sets and a mountain of charm. We do not have the quality of vegan restaurants in South Florida that are in NY, LA, or Chicago, but for this area it is wonderful! The food was very good (with the unfortunate exception of a long black hair - yuk!!!) Otherwise, I would recommend this highly and can't wait to go back.
Pros: Charming, Good Food, Moderately priced

yeeeeeessssss - Edit
We used to drive 30 mins or more to eat at the darbster in West Palm so we are more than happy about them opening up in boca which is way closer to us!! The staff is super sweet and the outside area is beautiful!!! The menu is smaller and they don't have specials as of now but they will!!! It really is one of the best vegan places we have if not the best!!! Go there now!! hahahaha My husbands favorite is the cordon blue (he eats gluten) and mine is the tacos!! It is gluten free and yummy!! I get a side of nacho cheese and ranch and drown it in it.... yiiiiiippppeeeeee
Pros: delicious , good price, friendly
Cons: they could use more gluten free

So grateful that they finally opened up the Darbsters in Boca Raton. The food here is delicious. Right now there is a limited menu since they just opened, but I am looking forward to when they offer brunch (my favorite Darbsters meal).
