Excellent Vegan Ramadan Menu! - Edit
Read moreWe wanted to break the fast/do the Iftar at this restaurant but we weren’t sure whether a Tunisian Ramadan dinner could be veganized. A call was made and the owner was very kind and patient, suggesting authentic Tunisian savory and sweet dishes, yet free from any meat, fish, and dairy.
The night before the dinner, the restaurant reached out to settle on the final menu and it turned out to be top notch!! 💚
We started with nut stuffed dates and bsissa, then came the soup, brik (served with salad mix (grilled salad, carrot salad, and cucumber salad)), followed by veggie couscous, cooked spinach (side dish).
As for the dessert, we were served Tunisian mint tea, seasonal fruits, as well as Assidet Zgougou - a traditional pine porridge with hazelnut.
I just couldn’t get over the quality, the presentation, and how insanely delicious everything was!
Service was nothing short of perfection either! Owners and the rest of employees were very professional, highly detail oriented, and genuinely friendly!
Bathroom was very clean!
Kudos on everything you do 🫶🏻
I will definitely come back for more seamlessly veganized Tunisian food 🌱😻

Located in the historic old town! They helped me prepare a vegan Tunisian version of khodhra market, which is made with a stew of spinach, pumpkin, carrots, and chickpeas. It was delicious! Show them the picture and you'll know you want a vegan version like this. You'll love the taste of Tunisian food!

Great find in the Medina - Edit
Great restaurant in the heart of the Medina. They were very accommodating and suggested making me a vegan meal which wasn’t on the menu. They serve a couple of salads and bread and then bring out a simple stew with chickpeas and Vegs. Overall very tasty and super nice staff. The lunch menu was 45DN
