Vegan restaurant and cocktail. DAR is the sibling restaurant of nearby KLE. The food and drinks menus draw inspiration from the “Al-Andalus” times, when Spain, Portugal and North Africa shared cultures under a common dynasty. Chef Zineb Hattab (Zizi) offers a modern take on the Al-andalus culinary tradition with dishes that are ideal for sharing. Also serves international creations that reflect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our team. The most popular dining choice at DAR is the “DAR Sharing Journey,” which allows guests to relax and let the kitchen surprise them with a curated selection of sweet and savoury. All-day coffee & apéro: Tuesday - Friday 9:00AM – 6:00PM. Dinner: Wednesday - Sunday 6:00PM – 10:00PM. Brunch: Saturday - Sunday 10:00AM – 1:30PM. Relocated from Gasometerstr 5. Open Tue 9:00am-6:00pm, Wed-Fri 9:00am-11:00pm, Sat 10:00am-11:00pm, Sun 10:00am-1:30pm, 6:00pm-9:00pm. Closed Mon.

Better than KLE - Edit
We went for the “sharing experience” and we loved it. Most of the items were delicious and the portions sizes were decent too (which is not always the case when having a tasting menu). Wine was good too.
Read moreThe customer service was friendly, attentive and very efficient. Prices are a bit on the higher end but definitely worth it, and still cheaper than other similar places in Zürich like KLE.
The only negative note was perhaps regarding the premises. The restaurant looks old and the lighting is very poor.
Overall, positive experience and we will certainly be back. #Veganuary

Not your usual Middle Eastern fare. - Edit
Maison Blunt, which used to be here, has found a worthy successor. Still Middle Eastern themed, but I'm seeing tons of dishes that no other restaurants offer. Also, it is run by a rising star Zizi Hattab who has earned 14 Gault & Millau points with her other fully vegan restaurant, KLE. In this one you can try her ideas for a lower price. I also like the simple but tasteful decor. It's a pity that they're only open for dinner.
