Wonderful food, messages of liberation on the walls and an abundance of kindness

This is hands down my favourite place for vegan food in dahab. I have some delectable and delicious dishes here.My personal favourites are the okra and tomato dishes, the stuffed grape leaves and more recently an incredible blended lentil and vegetable soup. On a few occasions here I have also had an incredibly seasoned rice that was full of different spices and which I believe was based on a Saudi rice recipe. The combination of spices created an incredible flavour and a memorable eating experience. The food here is carefully prepared and I really appreciate this. However the additional factors that make this place my favourite one to go in Dahab is not only the genuine kindness of the family that runs the restaurant and prepares the food but also the counsciousness of the art that are on the walls. The first time I was eating there I was in the middle of a mouthful of a delicious soup when I spotted all these beautiful drawings and posters in support of different liberation movements around the world . It was a wonderful surprise for me given how much silence there is around the world about genocide .I especially appreciate seeing written in chalk on their walls “Your Silence Will Not Protect You “ and the stickers for a Free West Papua, Free Sudan , Free Palestine.
