Read moreWe had been traveling for almost two weeks and constantly felt left out of the food scene. Everywhere the vegan options, if there were any, just didn’t show us what the Philippines could offer. Dao’s, more accurately, Potpot, changed this and changed our entire vacation. We felt not only included, but we felt special here. We felt cared for and loved. It was so amazing that we stayed 12 days, rather than the originally planned 4.
The food is amazing. Truly world class. The service, atmosphere…everything. You simply need to come here and stay for a while.

We stayed here 9 nights and tried almost the whole menu. Really good food and peacecul accommodation at the beach. The owner and staff are so nice and caring. Highly recommended!😄

Really good vegan experience - Edit
We were craving some tofu and proteins after only veggie dishes for some days, and found really good tofu dishes here. We had deepfried cauliflower as a starter, which was really good. The owner came to have a chat and bring a new sauce as well. That was nice and thoughtful.
Read moreWe then had the sweet and sour rice bowl with seitan and the adobo tofu rice bowl. Both were very tasty! The sauces were thick and flavorful, layered, and the tofu was crispy and chewy. The seitan was extremely chewy, which suited the dish. We had some lemonades too, which were good.
The owner came over to chat with us some more and gave us lots of tips for other restaurants with veggie/vegan options, and for some beautiful things to do around the island. 10 out of 10 experience overall.

The food here is incredible, potpot (the chef/owner) cook amazing Filipino style vegan dishes so you can still try the local cuisine. The flavours are amazing. Potpot is so friendly and will come out and chat to you about the food and teach you about the Filipino cultures. Can’t recommend this place enough. It’s also attached to accommodation so you can stay right next to it!

El mejor restaurante vegano de nuestro viaje. El dueño y todo su equipo son increíbles. La comida es sabrosa, creativa, 100% filipina, riquisima. Utilizan el bambú y la madera en platos y cubiertos. Los precios son muy razonables. Te explican cómo ha sido elaborado el plato y te ofrecen a probar diferentes cosas, frutas, Dulces. Sin lugar a dudas, the best. Please, try this place at least once when you're in Camiguin - Edit
A vegan place that recreate some of Philippines local dishes with really creative and tasty solutions. We tried their chili caulipops, for starter, and vinuguan — a stew with mushrooms and some vegetabels and blue rice on the side — as a main dish and it was incredible (save some room for dessert, the ice cream is delicious).

Wish we had more time to explore their menu (so try to get there in your first opportunity). Just be aware that they close the restaurant on tuesdays.

Aside from the fact that the owner is a lovely & ambitious person who has a 150% passion for food & cooking, he also breaks the mold for vegan cuisine, which is still relatively virgin in the Philippines.
Read moreThe food that we tried (including a super delicious vegan Kare-Kare) tastes very delicious and is a feast for the eyes!
Don't forget to order a dessert or a starter or both, but then you have to come with a lot of space in your stomach! The portions are well measured.
We really enjoyed our lunch there! Bring a bit time, especially at dinner time and just relax in the nice atmosphere along the beach!
We are looking forward for our next visit!!
Ps: One suggestion. Pls get some pillows for the wooden benches and it would be more comfortable sitting...;-)

das Restaurant gehört ab sofort zu meinem Lieblingsrestaurants! Das Essen ist nicht nur optisch super angerichtet, sondern schmeckt wahnsinnig gut! Die Variationen aus verschiedenen Gewürzen, Gemüsesorten und Alternativen aus Tofu und Jackfruit ist wirklich eine Geschmacksexplosion! Wir waren so begeistert! Der Eigentümer lebt für die vegane Küche und kocht mit viel Hingabe und Leidenschaft. Er erklärt sämtliche Gerichte sehr ausführlich und ist super freundlich! Wir hatten als Vorspeise Chichahroom, als Hauptspeise Vinuguan und Kare-Kare und zum Nachtisch ein super leckeres Eis. Ich kann es nur wärmsten machen empfehlen!
