C'était chouette - Edit

À la recherche d'un lieu ouvrant le plus tôt possible sur Marseille, proche du centre et me permettant de manger un morceau, je me suis tout naturellement dirigé chez Dame Farine (qui ouvre d'ailleurs à 7h45 et non 8h00).

J'ai été étonné de voir qu'aucune option vegane n'était renseignée.. Mais en effet, il ne s'agit pas d'une volonté de l'enseigne que de proposer de telles options !

Au-delà des pains, nous avons donc seulement deux produits veganes :
Un chocopain à 1€20 (une boule de pain classique avec des pépites de chocolat en somme)
Une fougasse aux olives à 3€20, probabelement composées d'Olices Kalamatas ? À vérifier.

La fougasse était vraiment bonne, pour un prix correct sur un tel produit. Les olives étaient qualitatives et là pate tout autant. Si vous avez envie de tester ce chouette produit du Sud, c'est le lieu !

Du reste, pour le chocopain, n'étant pas un grand fan de sucrée je dirais que c'était correct.
Et puis, c'est le lieu proposant des choses veganes qui ouvre le plus tôt !😄

Comme le précédant commentaire avant moi, je ne sais pas pourquoi cet établissement figure sur HapoyCow, rien n'étant renseigné comme étant vegane..

Pros: Vendeuse très accueillante, Produits qualitatifs

Cons: Aucune option veganes renseignées, ... Et assez peu d'options !

A french bakery - Edit

I found this bakery to be good but par for the course for "good" bakeries in France. It was cute and the staff were friendly. There weren't many non-bread vegan options and nothing was labelled or made especially vegan (not sure this should actually be listed on happy cow tbh). I wouldn't necessarily make a special trip for this location. Of the two bakeries I've been to in Marseille (the other being Farinette I believe), this one comes in second place - but you gotta expect good bread in France so 2nd of two great places isn't bad.

Then again, à chacun sa boulangerie so I wouldn't presume to speak for everyone's taste.

Pros: Friendly staff

Cons: Not many vegan options, Nothing labelled

Best baker in Marseille, Place du 4 Septembre - Edit

I was running all over town looking for flowers in all the wrong places. Everything was closed, except Dame Farine. I actually walk pass its inviting window without slowing down, and then my instinct kicked in. I doubled back, entered and the rest is history.

Some people claim it's the best bakery in Marseille. I understand why they would. All the grain used is organic, the breads are delicious, and a lot of exotic options for a vegan like me. Don't miss la fougasse aux olives.
