A great menu and a delicious meal - Edit
My 2 (non vegan) friends and I had a great lunch here. The BBQ cauliflower bites were delicious! I indulged with the French toast strips (a rare treat) and it made me feel like I was a kid eating funnel cake on the boardwalk. It’s a charming setting and the staff couldn’t have been nicer.

Best cheese fries of my life - Edit
We got the cheese fries, Caesar wrap and the smoke house sandwich. Everything was delicious, but the stand-out was the cheese fries. They were perfectly coated, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Worth the stop!

Much needed vegan spot! - Edit
Great vegan food close to the beach. I went twice and really enjoyed the food (cobb salad, breakfast bowl, tempeh nuggets, and cookies). Hip diner-feel with indoor and outdoor seating.

Totally vegan diner-style food - Edit
This restaurant has a fun 80s vibe, right in the middle of Ocean Grove. Such a pleasant surprise to find this fully vegan restaurant and it was popular. I was still full from brunch but I had the tofu "egg" salad on a kaiser bun and chocolate shake. The sandwich was huge, delicious and overflowing with tofu eggy goodness. The shakes are large! I didn't even finish mine, but it was good. My friend is not vegan bit enjoyed her mint chocolate chip shake. I need to visit north Jersey again and try more of their menu. Note that they have a much more extensive ice cream treats menu than the one on the wall! We wished we saw it and would have tried the smoothies if we had known.

Delicious Ice Cream - Edit
We came for the vegan pork roll, which made my Jersey girl heart so happy. And stayed for the ice cream. The oat milk based soft serve is so good. The sandwiches were decently sized and everything was delicious. They even fresh baked cookies for our order, so they were still warm. I highly recommend trying Dale & Dollops out the next time you’re in Ocean Grove.

Love the 50s diner vibes, vegan breakfast, lunch, & dinner - Edit
Ordered the breakfast burrito, fries, "ham, egg, cheese" sandwich which are delicious. Plus the cookies & cream "milk" shake are divine. A must try if you're around the area. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu

Dale and Dollops has fantastic food. Their breakfast sandwiches, bowls, and Mac and cheese are to die for, and it’s all very filling. I’ve brought non vegan friends here and they also love the food, especially the milkshakes.

Happy Vibes - Edit
Non fussy, friendly, fun, great food. Even the music is delightful. Our favorites are the strawberry pancakes, chickpea "tuna" and buffalo wrap. The "cheeseburger" is homemade and is out of this world. The soft serve is perfection

Nice fully vegan retro spot by the ocean - Edit
This is a fully vegan diner just a few blocks from the beach. You order at the counter and then sit either inside or outside. While you wait, you can play board games, there is also Super Mario on an old computer and a Photo Booth. They play oldies in the background :)
Read moreFood wise - I was expecting more of the typical diner kind of meals but there was a little bit of everything. I had a smoothie and the quinoa salad bowl. That was a lot of chewing, phewww, I regret not ordering a sandwich XD.
In the reviews people were complaining about the prices but idk, I’m used to NYC prices so this was very reasonable and the portion size was good at the least the two bowls we got.

Great food and amazing decor. They have board games and an old arcade machine to play while you wait for food. Everything I tried was delicious and the soft serve and milkshake took me back a decade to when I wasn't vegan yet.

I had a hard time deciding—it all sounded so good! I ended up getting the Caesar wrap, Mac & cheese, & cold brew with vanilla soft serve…would recommend all! Then once picked up my order discovered they had vegan stroopwaffles!!!! They’re by the packaged stuff, so excited!

Cute Atmosphere, Tasty Food - Edit
Dale and Dollops has such a cute atmosphere, with retro 50’s style decor. Went here on a busy Sunday afternoon, but the food still came out pretty fast. The quality was excellent too! I got the veggie burger (housemade, walnut based) and shared some nachos with my daughter. Also tried the peanut butter brownie sundae, which was very good. It was a little pricey, but overall very impressed Would definitely recommend!!

Missed the mark - Edit
Wanted to love it, but it was hard to. I wish I had known after ordering and before tipping that I would actually be the one carting the food to my table and playing bus boy at the end.
Read moreTables are small and uncomfortable. It’s almost like the designed the entire place and ran out of money for seating.
Had the tempeh nuggets. Flavorless. Tasted mostly like fried panko. Taylor ham and cheese - liked the attempt, but again it was void of flavor. Texture was right, flavor missing. Housemade burger - have you ever tried making a veggie burger at home? It’s that. Falls apart, hardly any flavor, bland tomato and too much lettuce. Tasted like the cheese, that’s it. Side of Potatoes - oily, unseasoned, mushy and flavorless.
I’m sure there are good things on the menu, but we didn’t pick any of them.
The girl at the counter was very sweet and they did a good job on the cute design, sans seating. Really wanted to love this place considering the lack of vegan restaurants. Unfortunately this one upholds the myth that vegan food is gross.
Pros: Design, Staff, Cold brew
Cons: The food. , Zero seasoning, Why am I tipping?!?

Great new spot! - Edit
The food was delicious and very fresh. We got the Mexican tofu scramble, the Buffalo tempeh wrap, onion rings and shakes. Onion rings were so crispy and came out hot. Mains were also very good portions and I’d definitely like to try more from them. The shakes were definitely the star of the show and it’s really cool that they do breakfast all day! I think I’d give five stars if they had a slightly more extensive menu, like some more soups and entrees, but there are still lots of options!

Thank you so much for coming in Caroline! We’re so happy to hear you enjoyed! We appreciate the feedback about the selections. We just got through our first summer in our small kitchen and now that we see what we can do we are ready to start adding some dinner entrees to our menu! We have a soup special today that we will continue to offer through the cold seasons! We hope to see you again soon!
