Disappointed - Edit
I am so bummed. I was so excited to finally go there. I went from the airport to the restaurant. Been a watching and drooling over their pictures.
Read moreJamaican in food is one of my favourites and now finally a vegan one!!
The attitude of the staff blew me away. Dour, unsmiling and with negative energy. Reluctant to explain their menu.
More interested in serving the bowls.
Being an Islanders that was the last dish I wanted.
Their famed sammitch was good, but less than I expected.
The staff attitude took the flavour out of the food.
Spent nearly $50.00 and for life if me don't u understand why I tipped.
Won't go back.
Pros: Jamacan
Cons: Morose decor and staff, Expensive, Lots of items on the menu not available.

Why did we wait so long to go!? - Edit
Absolutely amazing food! It was our first time visiting and the staff was terrific! My group was not familiar with Caribbean food so they gave us samples to help us figure out what to get.... And it was all delicious! I loved my jerk chick'n sammich! They also gave us samples of their biscuits with guava and raspberry that they serve for breakfast..... Amazing, right out of the oven, melt in your mouth. Glad we live in town and can stop in often! Go!!

Good vegan meal with bold flavor - Edit
Only the brunch menu was available when i went. I had the island chik'n & biscuit. Chik'n had good flavor. It was kind of tiny for $5 but it filled me up. It's nice to find a vegan eatery that serves flavorful food. I would try something else the next time. They also have dairy-free ice cream. I wish they had Jamaican veggie patties. I recommend trying it for yourself.

Don’t miss when in Orlando! - Edit
We were visiting from Colorado and found this place a few days before our trip ended. It was well worth it to venture about 30 minutes from Disney and Universal for such a delicious all vegan restaurant. The jerk “chick’n”, stew, buffalo cauliflower with rice were all out of this world. The texture was spot on so carnivores would love this place, too. I wish I would’ve tried something else but the jerk chik’n was so good, I had to keep getting it! We went 3 days in a row and took 4 entire meals to go on the plane for our family of 3 and my vegan parents. I sure wish we had something like this where we live in Colorado. We have season passes and will be back! Thank you Happy Cow for letting us know where to go when traveling. Thank you to the kind and accommodating staff at Dajen Eats. Everyone there is awesome.

Best Vegan Comfort Food - Edit
This place is amazing, my favorite vegan spot in Orlando and one of my favorite vegan spots ever.
Read moreVegan. Fried. Chik’n?! It’s amazing, the jerk chik’n is great as well!!
It’s very unique, Caribbean influenced food but it’s so damn good I can emphasize if you’re a vegan you -need- to experience this place. If you aren’t vegan, this place will change your attitude towards how good vegan food can taste.
I only had the bowls, but they have chickn biscuits, Buffalo chickn sandwiches, all sorts of great foods.
The place is obviously newer, but don’t dismiss the deli look of this cafe/eatery - it’s really good!! If you want something you’ll be satisfied eating, just come to this vegan restaurant.
Pros: Vegan fried chickn, jerk chickn, Buffalo chickn!!, Lots of options from dessert, Vegan comfort done right
Cons: New Restaurant, Inside is a little rough since it’s a new cafe

Amazing Food at Dajen Eats - Edit
Previously located inside of Lee Citgo Gas Station Dajen Eats is now located in the beautiful historic town on Eatonville. Offers a full menu: breakfast (offered 7am - 11 am) includes Build Your Own Breakfast, Chick'N Biscuit, Irie Cristo, and Porridge of the Day, tasty meals for lunch, as well as deliciously dairy-free scoops, shakes and sundaes featuring their very own Irie Cream. Lunch Menu includes dishes such as: Build A Bowl, Jerk Chick'N Sammich, Buffalo Chick'N Sammich, Rainbow Broccoli Slaw, Looney Toona Sammich, Identity Crisis Sammich, and Salads: Carribian Crab, Manley-Castro, or Toona. They also have a dinner menu posted daily.
Read moreWe came in for breakfast and had the chick'n and biscuit sammich ($4.49) - it was so 'ono - crispy, full of flavor and the biscuit was on point! The Porridge of the Day was divine. Topped off with some tasty drinks: Sorrel Ginger, Reggae Medley, Pineapple Guava, Pineapple Ginger, Mango Carrot.
We also had some of the fresh churned Irie cream in a waffle cone. It was the perfect ending to a fabulous meal. I am stoked to know of Dajen Eats and am looking forward to visiting again with my family and trying every meal!! I was happy to present Chef Jenn with a "Happy Cow Excellent Reviews" sticker. :)

First time visitor - Edit
Heard about this place from a couple people. So I decided to go and try the food. First I must say I am so proud to support a black owned business, I will be visiting again when they move to Eatonville (can't get ova the gas station). However I loved the food and I will recommend it to anyone who enjoys both vegan and non vegan foods.

Crispy & Jerk Chik’n Bowl - Edit
I felt like the other reviewer about feeling weird asking for a vegan place in a gas station, but THIS IS GOOOOOOD!!! They did say they are moving to their own place in Eatonville soon, and they’re expanding their menu. For lunch they have the choice of bowl or sandwich.
