Unassuming place located two doors down from the Thien An Hotel in Da Lat. Has a veggie banh mi stand out the front and a buffet inside, plus an a la carte menu. Staff speaks limited English, but there are English versions of the a la carte menu. A mix of mock meat, rice and noodle dishes. Reported closed, May 2021.

insanely amazing experience

the family who runs this restaurant is so cute & so knowledgeable about veganism and they are doing their best to spread it all over the globe! i really appreciated everything, the one lady was so kind and kept making sure we were enjoying our meal. we both had a banh mi, spring rolls and shared a dumpling 😍

Pros: so cheap, so good, amazing atmosphere

Good, cheap, food

Came here with a friend to pick up 5 Banh mi’s before a long bus journey. 50,000 for all 5, can’t beat that price. The Banh mi itself was very good. Bread not amazingly crunchy, but I can’t complain for 10,000 a pop!

Other things in the place looked really decent as well, a bit sad I couldn’t have tried anything else!

Pros: Lots of choice, Cheap, Tasty

Cons: A bit far out from the city centre

Okay for hunger..

For my taste it was too oily, too much mock meats and too less vegetables. But when youre really hungry and just want to eat its a good place for that :)

Pros: Cheap, a lot of mock meats

Cons: Less vegetables and very oily

Tasty food, good prices, lots of mock meat.

Whilst the food here is undoubtedly tasty and cheap, I couldn't help feeling like it was fairly unhealthy and a bit lethargic after eating. Tried a few options on the menu including various pho, bahn mi but never felt satisfied.

Pros: Cheap, Lots of mock meat options (if you're into that)

Cons: Not many vegetables

Eat here pretty much every day.

It's really cheap in here and all the mock meat is brilliant. They do great Bunh Mi as well. All vegan!

Pros: Loads to choose from, Cheap, Tasty

Incredible tasty

This is by far the best Com Chay I had for a while. Not just a bunch of mock meat but really tasty dishes.

Banh mi, rice and noodle soup

This little place has all of the above. Simple food, but a big menu of cooked to order, if you ask for it. Staff was a bit unattentive and hesitant to answer my questions, but I think they are just not used to many foreigners there.

I had rice with several toppings of my choosing, a good filling meal for the trip to come.

Pros: Cheap, Huge menu, Has its own budget hotel

Cons: Somewhat unattentive staff

Good food

The food was very good. There are vegan and non-vegan options on the menu. I had the fried tofu with lemon grass and citronella.

Pros: Both vegan and non-vegan option, English translations on the menu

Cons: Only negative thing about this place were the mice

Tasteless food

Food was very bland. Ordered a la cart and not from buffet. Vegetables served on plate full of water. Over priced. Can get much better food for half the price elsewhere.

Pros: States that they are a fully vegan restaurant

English is rough, food is good!

So many choices! I had the Thai hotpot and it was delicious. I believe it was meant for two, and had them pack half of it up for second supper at my hotel later on.

Pros: Lots of vegan options!

Cons: Staff wasn't English speaking.

Good food, large portions

Tasty food with lots of cook to order options. Have been here three times and it’s been great. Haven’t tried the buffet but there’s a huge variety. Definitely reccoemnd giving the ban mi a try! Good prices and they give a small discount to tourists.

Pros: Large portions , Good price

cheap and delicious

Friendly staff, com chay was cold like it usually is, but good variety and cooked well. 25k for the com chay including the soup, which they heated up for me.

Pros: good choice

Best vegan restaurant in Da Lat

Let's make one thing clear. Rice and buffet mock meats are generally served luke warm throughout the whole of Vietnam.

What makes Dai Loc so great is not the customer service or the rice mock meat combination but the PHO, noodles, vegan baguette, vermicelli and most importantly the HOTPOT. Boy is this hotpot value for money. We had this twice during our 3 day stay in Da Lat however the combination hotpot was our favourite. You get a pile of fresh greens, rice noodles and a selection of a variety of mock meats in a delicious soup, perfect for those cold evenings.

I cannot rate these dishes highly enough. Perhaps if your as picky as the recent negative reviews, you should probably stick to your pretentious restaurants.

Pros: Hotpot, Price, English translation menu

Cons: Some staff refuse to smile haha

This place disgusts me

Maybe all restaurants in Vietnam are like this, but at least aren't as blatant as this one. They take left over rice and dump it back into the rice cooker and mix it. They then take used plates and just wipe them "clean". If you're ok with this, they have tons of food options.

Awful

Plates of cold rice and an assortment of cold, congealed, over-salted and over-sweetened mock meats, for the same price as delicious a'la carte meals at the other end of the strip. Everything on the menu is 20 K, but they decided to charge us 30 K each for said plate of congealed items, and even added an extra 5 K each for the customary 'complimentary' soup. Don't bother.

Cons: average-to-poor quality food, extremely overpriced , shabby facilities, unwashed tea cups

Great!

We really enjoyed the vegan buffet options available. There seemed to be a larger selection off vegetables compared to other restaurants. Banh mi available at the front of shop also!

My favorite restaurant in Da Lat! (plus hotel?)

** As mentioned, the marker is wrong--it's further up the hill, but the address is right. **

This place was so good! They have a pretty large menu (English available). Not everything is always available, but I think whatever you get you will not be disappointed! Plus they have a banh mi stand outside (mornings only?), which is awesome. My last day there I had some noodles for breakfast, and ordered two banh mi, and a rice dish to go for lunch and dinner!

Their rice dish/buffet is fairly typical, with lots of tofu and mock meats, but they all seem pretty fresh/handmade, good variety, and some things I hadn't seen elsewhere. Their dumplings (those things wrapped in banana leaves and steamed) were really delicious too!

The staff have little to no English, but as mentioned they have English menus, and with a little effort all can be communicated. Great food, pretty clean place, and reasonable prices. It's not as central as some other places, so almost didn't go, but I'm so glad I did!

Oh, and looks like they have hotel rooms to rent too! Don't know what they're like, but had I known I definitely would have stayed there just to be closer to the food! :)

Pros: great variety, reasonable prices, delicious!

good option

It's not where it says it is on the map. I literally saw it as I was turning around to give up lol it's also on the opposite side to what it says. It's about 5 minutes more north than the pointer.
