Great breakfast spot near excellent traditional market

I remember the five-grain rice balls stuffed with vegan filling fondly from when I first discovered this place, but during my most recent visit, the rice ball was only half full of filling: the top half was just rice. Service was also really slow because they were fulfilling several Foodpanda orders. I also wish they had unsweetened versions of their plant-based milks: only soy milk can be ordered without added sugar. But the almond/oat/brown rice milk was pretty good and very thick. The dumplings (both cabbage and salted mustard ones) were also yummy, but I could have used some hot sauce.

2025 update: I have found myself returning time and time again since it really is quite a nice breakfast option pre- or post-traditional market shopping at Binjiang Market. Everything tastes wholesome, and service is quick. Even their braised items are quite nice, and sometimes they have limited supply goodies (like their vegan fish). The Job's tears bowl on weekends is hearty and will help you power through your day.

Friendly staff, 100% vegan, cheap & open early!

This place perfect for what it does.

Hardly anything else vegan is open early and these guys open at 7:30 a.m. everyday except Monday (closed).

They serve house-made sushi style rolls as well as a variety of plant-based milks that you can grab to go.

They also have a variety of Chinese-style faux meat primarily made from soy.

They pair very nicely with the vegetable soup.

They also have wraps in sandwiches that I didn't get to try.

You can get a good breakfast or lunch for about US $6 (TWD $180).

All in all a great breakfast option for vegans in the area!

Pros: Open early, Inexpensive, Friendly owners

Cons: No English menu
