Torta di ceci is a must-try when in Livorno, and Gagarin has always served the best and most popular in town.
Read moreMost food they prepare is vegan, but their bread rolls ("pane francese") contain lard, ask for focaccia ("schiacciatina") instead for a fully vegan option.
I like my 5 & 5 with marinated aubergines ("melanzane sotto al pesto") and a lot of black pepper.
Pros: Historical street food, Right in the central market area
Cons: Their bread contains lard, Very few seats, best to take away

Da Gagarin is a must for every vegan visiting Livorno. Cinque e cinque will probably become your new favorite snack if you go here! The food they serve is not made vegan, it just happens to be vegan.
