Awfully abusive man working there

My partner pays to go to the children’s groups in yma and has then fed the baby in this cafe afterwards for months now. He asks for a sweeping brush and cleans up everything after himself before leaving.
Today the man working there had a go at him for not buying anything and said the cafe is separate to YMA and then went absolutely nuts and lost his temper when my partner asked him why only now has he taken an issue. He lost his temper right there with our baby sat there. Absolutely disgusting! If you’re not part of YMA then why is it in your name?? And I’m sure YMA staff wouldn’t agree with the way you’ve handled this! You are renting from their space and arguing and raising your voice in front of a baby! Shame on you

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Vile rudeness from staff, Shouted with baby present, Lied about cleaning up after partner. He cleans it

Hello. We’re very sorry to read your review and regret that you’ve had such a negative impression of our café. However, we would like to clarify the situation from our side.

First of all, your partner has been coming to our café for over half a year. He asked if it was okay to sit here only once, at the beginning. Despite the fact that he rarely greeted us or ordered anything during his many visits, we were always polite, respectful, and treated him with a smile.

Secondly, while it’s true that he cleaned up general rubbish after himself, we still had to clean the table, chairs, and floor more thoroughly after each visit. He was coming in almost every other day.

Thirdly — and most importantly — it’s unfortunate that you weren’t present during the conversation. No one shouted or acted aggressively. There were other people in the café at the time. Since my English is limited, I asked my daughter to help as a translator. Before approaching your partner, I politely introduced myself, apologized, introduced my daughter, and kindly asked him to find another place to sit if he was not going to be a customer.

Once again, we are sorry for the misunderstanding. We are always open to dialogue and would be happy to welcome you back to our café.I would be happy to welcome you back to our café and personally offer you a complimentary coffee.
