Thedsaban Soi 2, Pai, Thailand, 58130

Serves meat, vegan options available. An open air shack that offers currys. The kitchen is in the back and patrons get a full view of the food being cooked. The owner hands you a menu, a piece of paper, and a pen, and you are expected to write your order and hand it back to him. All the curries (green, red, Masaman, Indian, Panang, kua, and the daily special) have a vegetarian option. Directions: take the Walking Street towards the river, when the street begins a downhill slope notice the alley called Thedsaban Soi 2, there is a sign on the post at the top of the alley, walk down about 30 metres, and Curry Shack will be on the left. Open Mon-Sun 9:30am-3:00pm, 3:00pm-9:00pm.

Revolting. - Edit

We tried several curries. We all left all of them. One of the very, very few times in my life I've left food. They tasted harshly artificial and unhealthy.

Cons: Tasted awful

Massaman Curry are not Vegan/Vegatarian - Edit

We went there and asked for vegan Massaman Curry with rice. Unfortunately the Curry wasn’t vegan and also not vegetarian. It was made with fish. Also some prices in the menu were wrong and we had to pay more than expected.

Cons: Massaman Curry not Vegan/Vegatarian as told, wrong menu prices, small portions

Nice Curry - Edit

The curry here while on the small side, was fresh, hot and filling. It was also pretty reasonably priced for what you get.

Pros: Filling

nice service, good curry - Edit

We went there as a group of six people. It was still closed, but the owner saw us and opened just for us. So sweet. We all ordered different vegan curries, so she was a bit overwhelmed and it took probably about 45 minutes that we were served the food. The curries were quite nice, although pretty small portions. One of us got a coconut which was already moldy, probably laying around for too long, so I would recommend skipping the coconuts.
The place filled up pretty fast and the one!!! girl cooking and serving soon seemed to be struggling a looot, don't know if she is alone all the time or if it was only that day. Service is really nice and friendly, although little english.

Pros: small portions, service a bit slow

Cons: vegan options

Yummy curry at The Curry Shack!! - Edit

We ate at the Curry Shack a couple times while we were in Pai. It was simply the best veggie curry we have had in Thailand. We tried a few other dishes on the menu but the curry is by far the thing to order.

Pros: Good value, Fresh ingredients

Cons: Open air so can get buggy.
