STAY AWAY

The menu has a vegan section, but several dishes that are almost always vegan were not listed there, so we asked. The waiter seemed to be confused and said that he wasn’t sure if they could cook any vegan dishes because it’s “more of a night thing.”

He proceeds to bring the chef out who says that many items not listed as vegan do not have dairy (we asked about dairy because he didn’t seem to understand what ‘vegan’ means). He also tells us that the vegetable korma, LISTED UNDER THE VEGAN SECTION -HAD DAIRY.

After making clear that we wanted everything without dairy, he brought out a biryani dish with some sort of sauce on the side that almost certainly had dairy yoghurt.

The biryani was good, samosa was good, Chana masala was great, gobi Manchurian was ok (cauliflower was on the verge of expiring). The korma, which we asked to be made vegan, tasted bad. It had a spoiled flavor where the vegetables tasted almost sour.

Given that they are serving non vegan items listed as vegan and seemed totally unfamiliar with veganism, nothing over a one star rating is warranted.

Pros: Vegan section, Good Chana masala

Cons: VEGAN ITEMS ARENT VEGAN, Food is spoiled , They are unfamiliar with veganism

Excellent vegan options!

We had Gobi Manchurian, aloo tiki, falafel/hummus, and veg korma. Asked for in-between mild/medium spiciness. Everything was great!

The place would be SO much better if lights weren’t turned up so bright. Tables and flooring actually pretty nice. Also they have an outdoor area for drinks only, which was disappointing, outdoors would have been nice to eat (but it’s too bright out there too LOL! At night anyway, when we were there).

Pros: Great food, Lots of vegan options , Good service

Cons: Lightning way too bright, Outdoor area, but drinks only, A bit pricy for a Holiday Inn

Unfortunately it seems that the veggie korma has dairy. We were told as much by the chef. The problem is that they clearly have no concept of veganism.

Surprisingly good food

Don’t be deterred by the ambiance (Holiday Inn chic) or the fact that they’re not fully vegan despite the name and share staff and space with typical hotel bar food…the food is delicious and flavorful!

Pros: Great food

Fantastic vegan curry

Accessed from the Holiday Inn hotel lobby, it looks like a normal hotel bar but they have some seriously good curry! I had the spinach and tofu, so flavorful without being overwhelmingly rich, and perfect medium spice level. Was also served some amazing fried cauliflower wings and chutney, wasn’t expecting it but so good!

Best vegan Indian options in Florida

I found this place unexpectedly on my way to a Billy Burke conference on the End Times in the hotel, as the word “vegan” caught my eye. I’m so glad I tried it, as I ate the tastiest vegan korma I’ve tried in Florida! Customer service was top notch as well, and my take-out stayed hot for two hours so by the time the Bible study was over I was able to enjoy it right away instead of at home!💗
