Does the Job

PHL actually does a good job of labeling their menu items for most, but not all restaurants. And they have list of all places with vegan options. Whether or not that’s up to date I’m not so sure.

Currito is basically a more expensive and not as good chipotle, but it’s a lot of whole foods that you can be confident are vegan. My bowl was $25 so maybe skip the guac!

Pros: Staff was knowledgeable

Cons: Expensive , Dirty tables

Really nice option

Really nice option when faced with so much stodgy, fatty, greasy food. Had the tofu spicy Thai salad and the super green, both of which were gorgeous.

Yummy and healthy!

Bowl was reasonably priced and very good. Other vegan options were minimal here so grateful for it.

i wish i could get this without having to fly somewhere!

I love this place. Think of like a Moe's or Chipotle with an Indian twist. Fresh ingredients, lots of great options like tofu, curried chickpeas, and a bunch of vegetables (kale + arugula!!!). I do the build your own bowl, and I am never disappointed. I've eaten here so much that I actually start to crave it when the plane lands:) If this was a local chain, I'd eat it weekly.

There is another in terminal A, and for those philly locals who go south on 95, there is another location in the Maryland House rest stop

Pretty good, but not careful!

The Spicy Thai salad with tofu was really good! Unfortunately, they made a mistake and gave me chicken initially 🤢. Might want to be extra careful when ordering here!

Eat and Go

I built a wrap with black beans, brown rice, quinoa, tofu, and peanut sauce. It cost $18.85, but it was big.

Cons: vegan options not marked, overpriced

Excellent for Airport Food

As long as you can put together a winning combination of ingredients this seems like one of the better options. Almost $20 for a burrito but it was huge and full of great ingredients. Tofu, chickpeas, pumpkin seeds, quinoa, kale, cabbage, ect. The employees I spoke to were able to show me which sauces were vegan. We all know the struggle of “veganizing” an item that ends up dry with no good sauce option- not a problem here.

Terminal D

The quality of the ingredients that went into my burrito were not top notch. My sweet potatoes were undercooked and too heavily spiced, and it was more of a farro burrito. Granted it is airport food, so sticking with four stars.

Pros: Vegan choices, Filling, Easy to find

Loads of WFPB vegan options

Looks like the best spot in Philly airport. Allergen menu online shows tons of vegan options, including but not limited to the tofu, cilantro lime rice, farro, quinoa, black beans, chick peas (not the curried ones), all salsa. Under the grains (pre-made menu) bangkok and harvest are vegan, and under the greens (pre-made menu) spicy thai is vegan. And the berry blend smoothie is vegan.

Works in pinch

The Philadelphia airport is abysmal when it comes to vegan food but you can technically eat here. Nothing is labeled. If you order straight from the menu you might need to modify. You can also build you own - they do offer tofu. Taste was decent, price was high.

Pros: One of the only vegan options, Can build your own, You won't starve in the airport

Cons: Expensive for what you get , Tables were very dirty, No labels

Great for Gluten Free Vegans!

We loved the variety of ethnic food choices available. I had the Bangkok wrap with tofu and strawberry banana smoothie. My gluten free husband had the Bangkok bowl and the mixed berry smoothie. A variety of salads are available, and they offer customizable options, as well. They had quinoa and farro options in addition to white and brown rice. As with any airport food, it was pricey, but my wrap was so filling I only ate half, and saved the rest for the next meal.

Pros: Very fresh veggies., Indian, Thai, Mexican and more, all in one place., Lots of gluten free options.

Cons: High price.

Fast and yummy!

I got the health nut smoothie, and my husband did a build your own wrap for breakfast. Both were quite filling and delicious! A great change from all the heavier vegan options.

Vegan Options at the Airport

It was great to have a fresh vegan option at the airport. Like all airport food, overpriced, but I have a healthy appetite and I took 1/2 on the plane for dinner!

Pros: Many vegan options, You can build your own bowl/salad

Quick Vegan bowls

I got a Bangkok bowl with tofu and a health nut smoothie. Both were extremely rich flavorful and filling for one human. The line was also extremely short and they were quick so that was a plus.
Smoothies clearly labeled with ingredients so it is easy to know which ones are and are not vegan. The only con in my opinion is that bowl ingredients are not labeled I checked their website for allergen info. For example: curried chickpeas have dairy and sauces are not clearly labeled with ingredients. Would definitely stop again just better labeling would be convenient!

Vegan airport option

Super convenient vegan bowls - premade options on build your own. Menu is not labeled, but their website has a full list of ingredients that are vegan which makes it easy to choose ingredients. We were able to get regular bowls at “breakfast” time. Only critique is that their are huge portions of rice in the bowls, I think I’d ask for 1/2 order of rice next time or pick a different base.

Pros: Vegan options , Convenient location

Cons: Menu not labeled, have to look on website

Great place for vegan food

Definitely the place to go on the airport considering the ingredients they offer when making your own bowl like chickpeas, black beans, tofu, hummus and more. Just because it’s a massive airport i would like to add that they are located at terminal D, not in the aisle towards the gates but right behind security.

Pros: Great nutritious ingredients , Choose your own, Not expensive

Cons: Unhappy staff

Not so super green smoothie

I had the super green smoothie which was unfortunately too sweet (agave, I think) and featured unsweetened (thank goodness) vanilla flavored almond milk that doesn't really pair well with the kale and other greens. it's like they were trying to hide the taste of the greens rather than to enhance them. That's unfortunate, because products for the bowls and burritos looked write fresh. And the smoothie used real products, not just a concentrate. I would come again and try the berry or even the protein but flavor, but us ask them to cut back on sweeteners.

Pros: Food liked fresh

Cons: Don't hide the greens, but enhance them

Great food, regardless of being in an airport.

They have lots of vegan options and a menu online that labels which ingredients are vegan, which are the majority. Currito is located at the beginning of Terminal D and is worth a stop.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Nutrition facts with vegan tags available online, Relatively quick

Cons: Vegan options aren't presented on the menu boards

Surprised

I didn’t know there was another spot in this airport where it is clear that a vegan could get a delicious and fulfilling meal. Build your own bowl - they have tofu/chickpeas/black beans/lentils and so much more. Delicious!

Pros: Plenty of veg*n options

Great airport option

I was excited to find this place. If they had it on the west coast, I’d be a regular customer! This is a build-your-own bowls, burritos, salads, and smoothies. I had a bowl filled with rice, curried chickpeas, tofu, farro, lentils, cabbage, corn, and cucumber. There were several other options too. It was tasty, filling, and inexpensive!
