Great for a cold day - Edit
Curran Geal is a cozy cafe, which offered a range of soups and sandwiches, among other things. We got a toastie with soup, some coffes, a bagel and a pastry.
Read moreIt was all very decent, however lacking a bit of wow factor. However I can’t complain. The warm food on a cold day really hot the spot.
Also lovely staff, all vegan and a little store selling vegan products on the corner.

I had a wonderful meal with my family in this cute, little vegan cafe. There were plenty of soup options to warm us up on that cold day out and the ciabattas were incredible. The cafe also sells vegan goods (such as sauces and olives etc.) at reasonable prices! I would highly recommend this place to anyone especially if you have a dog as they are dog friendly. 10/10.

lovely little spot for take away or sit in. not the fastest service but lovely staff. i always get their daily special- a choice of a rotating selection of soups and vegan grilled cheese for about £6.50 i believe. they also have a large selection of vegan kitchen staples.

Really lovely all vegan cafe. The food is great and quite reasonably priced - my non vegan friend couldn’t believe the chocolate cake was vegan. The staff are so friendly and the cafe itself has such a welcoming atmosphere. It is quite small with limited seating but well worth the visit if you can get a seat!

I must say this is one of my favorite places in Edinburgh. The owner is sooooo friendly and even her customers(/neighbors ;)) are very fun to chat with. I will definitely visit again for good laughs and super tasty cakes and coffee. Highly recommended!

Wonderful lunch - Edit
Had a fabulous lunch here as part of the Vegan Meetup group. Was a very hot day, so had a much-needed iced coffee (I slurped it all before I managed to take a picture) followed by a refried bean and vegan cheese wrap. It was all absolutely delicious. Can't wait to come back and try their cake next time!

Just wanted to clarify for any new visitors/reviewers that our pulled "pork" is BBQ marinated and pulled jackfruit...to avoid any confusion. And in new news....as of today we are 100% Vegan, so dairy cheese and dairy milk are no longer available as part of our menu.

One of my go-tos in Edinburgh - Edit
The sandwiches and wraps are great. My favourite is the vegan deli style ham with sauerkraut, but the refried beans and falafel ones are really tasty too. They have soups of the day which are also very nice, broccoli and cauliflower, leek spinach and tatties, mushrooms, etc.
Read moreThe pastries are all vegan I think (not sure if that's always the case, but they usually have a sign saying it's all vegan) and are very good. They also have cakes and nice sourdough and rye bread to take away.
The place is also a shop with lots of food, drinks, sauces and even nice plants.
