Strange Layout - Edit
The service here is very friendly. I came here based on the reviews from HappyCow. What I didn’t expect was how weird the layout of the coffee shop is where there’s very few places to sit and work. There were also a lot of little kids running around, which is totally fine just not what I was expecting. I found a seat in an aisle behind a bookcase.

You are allowed to use their Wi-Fi for one hour. There’s a really nice coworker space in its own room, but you have to pay to go in there. There’s currently one person in there. Just not what I was expecting. I’m not sure I would come back. The latte is absolutely delicious though!!

Great Chai latte - Edit
The Chai latte with oat milk was really yummy. The people working there are really nice. I also had a cookie that had a matcha glaze and lemon poppyseed muffin. Their muffins are baked like brownies or cake versus in a traditional muffin tin. I went back a few days after the first time and got the avocado toast which was also really good.

Slice of Heaven - Edit
Delicious breakfast foods and fresh-baked pastries (labeled vegan). A variety of coffee drinks served in glasses or compostable containers. Cozy sofas and chairs surrounded by books and gift items. Friendly service.

Get here early or in between - Edit
My wife and I stopped in for breakfast and were very glad we got here before the rush. The Vegan Hot Mess paninis were great and they had 3 different vegan baked goods (pistachio cranberry cookie, Tahoe Morning muffin and lemon-poppyseed muffin) which were all very good (if I knew how good the cookie was I’d have gotten another before the line got too long). Do expect a long wait when it gets busy, but be patient and take a look at the books or chat with the folks sitting around you.

One of the best! - Edit
I'm obsessed with the Vegan Hot Mess!
Read moreThe vegan morning muffin & the petit fours are also very tasty. I loved the beanalicious sandwich, but the new lentil avocado toast is also a hit!
Has several alternative milks, and so grateful they feature soy as it seems to be disappearing from most independent coffee shops.

Cuttest Cafe - Edit
Cuppa Tahoe is THE cutest cafe I have ever seen. It is not only a cafe that offers vegan options it is also a bookstore and has the cutest nooks you can sit in and read a book or chat with a friend. Kid friendly. If you want something different…this is it! Have fun! Oh and they have great coffee! ☺️

Yummy Vegan Sandwiches - Edit
Visited on two different days and got a vegan breakfast sandwich and their bean-alicious sandwich. Both were very good, but kind of small and not very filling. Wish I could have tried their Vegan Hot Mess but they were sold out of it both times.

Delicious Vegan Sandwich - Edit
I came to spend time in their co-work space and have lunch. I was surprised at how delicious the vegan bean/pesto sandwich on a beet ciabatta roll was. Definitely going to be spending more time here.

You go for the inside... - Edit
The inside is beautiful! I ordered a cold brew and a vegan pastry. The cold brew was really good, the pastry was ok. I didn't order a meal because I wasn't hungry enough. The shop has a lot of books and neat novelty items. It is interesting to walk around and look. There are plenty of seats and a workspace you can pay to use.

Great place to go and stay all day! - Edit
This was a great find when we were visiting South Lake Tahoe. We went there 3 times in 2 days!
Read moreGreat vegan options!!! Lots of plant based milks for lattes. Several vegan baked goods. They also have vegan cream cheese, vegan sausage, and vegan cheddar. Oh and they have vegan croissants! Almost everything is baked fresh on the premises.
The best part is the ambiance. Book store with lots of nooks to hang out. AWESOME coworking space! They even have a conference room.
Excellent friendly service.
Seriously - go there now! This is in my top 10 favorite places I have ever been
Pros: Great vegan options, Awesome co-working space , Nice ambiance

Perfect atmosphere - Edit
Perfect little coffee shop bookstore with cozy seating and a full shelf of books to read while you enjoy your coffee. The vegan treats were alright but I’m glad there were options and the place was so cozy I didn’t even care that they weren’t that good. Would absolutely go back.

Amazing coffee, vegan desserts! - Edit
First of all of happy cow allowed us to give non vegan places 5 stars I would. This place is so adorable, amazing coffee and vegan desserts! They have 4 different plant milks as options... Oat, almond, soy and coconut. Several vegan desserts. We had the chocolate croissant and the tiramisu. Both were incredible! I love they offer real mugs if you are staying for your coffee. The atmosphere is so fabulous you will want to stay and enjoy! Service was excellent with very friendly staff. Bye bye Starbucks... We have a new coffee place.

Great Spot! - Edit
Located in the shopping mall by aleworx, this coffee shop has a great variety of seating. Good for personal or work meetings. They also offer a co-working space for rent. They recently switched to a new baker so they offer a vegan burrito now and no tempeh sandwich.

Comfy and Cozy! - Edit
Cuppa Tahoe has filled a much-needed niche in South Lake Tahoe! The decor is warm and inviting as you enter the bookstore front, which includes a selection of vegan/vegetarian books, among many other styles. At the back of the store is a quaint café serving a variety of baked goods, hot drinks, smoothies, and teas. My favorite things to order are the vegan breakfast sandwich, berry crumble, and hibiscus iced tea. There are plenty of options for vegetarians and a nice selection of vegan items. All of the specialty hot drinks and smoothies can be modified as vegan by omitting/substituting with non-dairy milk alternatives. I highly recommend Cuppa Tahoe to anyone living in, or visiting Tahoe!
