10/10 - Edit

came here for coffees and breakfast and it was fantastic! i had a coffee milkshake and my boyfriend had a mocha with whipped soya cream (mmm), and then we had some toasts as well. i went for the italian (avo, pesto, mushrooms, tomatoes and rocket) and my boyfriend had just a mushroom toast. they were both really good, loaded with toppings, very filling. girls were lovely as well!

Pros: good choice of dairy free milk, plenty of different cakes (didn’t have a chance to, nice music, books, whole atmosphere is great

Cons: a bit cramped

low average - Edit

Burger too small and patty seemed to be from quorn or something. Fries were over fried and burnt. Taste just average. And expensive.

Pros: none

Cons: Not good quality, Expensive

Amazing! - Edit

I find it really hard to find gluten free and vegan pastries and even if I do find them they're often not too good, well I'm so happy to say I've found the perfect place to satisfy my sweet cravings!!
Lovely staff, delicious food and super nice atmosphere, I go there almost once a week and I think it gets better every time I go!

The breakfast here is the Shhht! - Edit

Right near Elephant and castle tube and very easy to find. It’s within a small artists village. Where all cafes, bars and shops and made from shipping containers!
When I visited it was slightly too cold to sit outside but in the summer it would be great.
Lovely little place that recently went fully vegan, which is actually what prompted my visit. I Saw pictures of the English breakfast they did and could not wait to try it. It was delicious as well as being really beautifully presented. It consists of of avocado sprinkled with seeds, toast, scrambled tofu, vegan sausage, mushrooms and mixed beans.
They serve a good selection of gluten free, raw, as well as classic cupcakes. So something for everyone.
They also provide a stand you can hire for events where they serve their famous freakshakes and sweet treats. I recently saw the stand at VegFest London. It’s worth keeping an eye out for at vegan/veggie events and festivals.
The cafe it’s self is also dog friendly! I took my Little Rescue boy with me 😁

Pros: Recently went 100% vegan , You can bring dogs, Amazing breakfast

Cons: Not much indoor space

Lovely! - Edit

Happened to be in the neighbourhood so popped in recently. Tried their raw caramel chocolate slice and bananabread. They were lovely, but as usual with vegan pastry really, is that it could do with more of what you advertise. The banana bread could have had a bit more banana (flavour) in it, and the caramel slice tasted more of caramel. Have yet to try their foods though! Looks like a very cosy corner! Definitely will go again when in the neighbourhood.

Pros: Wide selection

Cons: Flavours could be more intense

Peaceful, in container artist 'village', not from this world - Edit

Quite close to Elephant & Castle subway / bus stop, located in container artist 'village'. Very small, shares seats with all other stores & bars. Super nice, like a hippie holiday on the beach (without sun and sand and water, luckily). The "freaky unicorn shake" consists of glitter (!), ice cream, a shake, a brownie AND a muffin. You will not have to eat days after that. The cooked english breakfast is very good, too. Lotsa cupcakes. Not from this world.

Pros: Hippie vegan, cupcakes, unicorn glitter shake (!)

nice - Edit

We had the vegan version of the traditional english breakfast and it was very nice.
The muffins and cupcakes were not great, but we had the chance to try only two.
The place looks a bit messy but the stuff is lovely

Great Freakshakes - Edit

Friendly staff, creative and amazing freakshakes, and delicious cupcakes.
But I really didn't like the burger, too squidgy, the patty oozed out of the sides and broke off falling onto the table when i bit into it. It also didn't taste great. I had the (bean style) burger back in May/June 2017, maybe it's changed now?? But definitely going back for everything else on the menu!

Pros: Lots of choice. It seems like lots of love goes in

Lovely cafe - Edit

We went here on their second day of being completely vegan - the menu looks great; lots of savoury lunch/brunch/lunch options including waffles, avo toast, English breakfasts, burgers and salads, many of which are gluten-free. We had the C&S burgers and I had a unicorn freakshake and my husband had a peanut butter jelly freak shake. The burgers (gf) were really tasty and the freakshakes were nice - though the shake itself was perhaps a little bit too thin (so too much milk, too little ice cream), though that's a rather minor point as it was pretty awesome nonetheless. There is plenty of seating outside the shop that is shared with the other businesses and we had no problem getting a table on a Saturday lunch time, there is also some seating inside the shop, but as it quite narrow, I imagine it'd be annoying to sit in as people would be brushing past you all the time. The service was very friendly. The only minor con was that of all the baked goods available, every single one had some sort of nut or almond in, so if you don't like nuts, then you may be hard pressed to find a cake or brownie.

Pros: Extensive menu, Lots of gluten-free, Friendly service

Cons: Baked goods all nut-orientated

Vegan burger - Edit

I tried the vegan burger with sweet potato fries – good burger and the fries were really nice (crisp on the outside, soft in the middle). They also had several vegan cakes/cookies including a tasty PB and jam cookie

Pros: Several vegan savoury and sweet options, Close to Elephant and Castle station

Cons: Indoor space isn’t big (but more seating outside)

Just happened upon this absolute treasure while on our That Vegan Challenge trip. We had the best vegan brownies I've ever tasted and a peanut butter and shortbread slice that proves you don't need dairy or sugar! We've just seen their burgers and we're definitely coming back to sample them.

It's a bit of a strange name but I love this place, any time I'm in the area I find an excuse to pop in. It's inside a shipping container and they have done wonders making it a really cool place to hang and it's in elephant and castle it's defiantly the best place in the area. The coffee is great and they have a wide verity of vegan treats on offer I'm a fan of the Italian brunch and vegan burger is just to die for.

Pros: Nice vibe, Excellent food , Great staff

Cons: Just perfect
