Tasty vegan options - Edit
While the menu at this Nepali Restaurant is mostly meat-focused, there are several vegan or veganizable options. In fact they can prepare most of their dairy-based items with coconut milk instead of cow milk on request.
Read moreOur favorites are the saag platter (ask them to make it vegan by using coconut milk instead of cream), the chana masala (also quite good), the veg momos, and the veg samosas (ask for no yogurt). They make a pretty good dal, too (ask for no butter or cream).
The proprietor is very friendly and happy to explain which dishes can be made vegan. Note that some of the other servers have somewhat limited English so be sure any special requests are well understood. Be prepared to wait a while for the food to be ready, whether dining in or taking away (especially if ordering momos, which take longer to make fresh).
