Italian feed open late - Edit
My partner and I chose this restaurant because the vegan options at our hotel were pretty underwhelming.
Read moreThe venue is tucked away in a residential part of the island, just a short walk from the main shopping strip.
There were two main meal options: a vegetable peperoncino and a soy meat bolognese. They also offered French fries as an appetiser, which came in a decent portion.
I went with the vegetable peperoncino — it was quite bland, but it did the job and filled me up.
Prices were on the higher side, but since it’s one of the few places open after 5pm with vegan options, I was grateful it was available. Hopefully, their offerings continue to improve over time.
Pros: Open late , Friendly staff , Quick service
Cons: Bland food , Expensive

New vegan dishes - Edit
This place in kind of a residential part of Miyajima near the ferry port has recently added a couple of new vegan dishes. One is a country style soup with beans and the other is a curry doria kind of casserole dish. The doria is great on a chilly evening. It's nice to have a place that is open at night serving vegan food on Miyajima (the vast majority of places are closed by 5 or 6pm.

REALLY disappointing!!!! - Edit
Really disappointed with the place. The menu outside the cafe shows a vegetarian pasta option with salad, soup & dessert and a drink for 3000 yen. We spoke to the staff and he said he will be able to give us only a vegetarian pasta. That was unfortunately very oil and bland... Just noodles with a few vegetables.... Not at all a pasta! And then he said because it's a special item, just that alone is 2500 yen after we had eaten!

Nice and modern atmosphere and the owner was able to make a latte with soy milk.
Read more😐 However the coffee was only okay and not that good. Given the lack of options on the island it is ok.
The cakes looked nice but nothing vegan as we saw.

A few sandwiches are vegetarian, and they can prepare vegan pasta or sandwiches if you ask nicely. They don't speak English, but with google translate you can get enough across.
