Generous portion of cake and quantity of tea ....

Had a herbal tea, a 'wild' mix of flowery flavours hit my taste-buds. Top quality tea. The waitress gave me a top-up of hot water and still the tea was of a good strength. Had pineapple upside down cake. Three slices of lemon and an ample portion of honey came with the tea. I had enough honey, that I used some to go with my cake; a good quality set honey. The 'custard' that covered the cake was good too. Great vibe in the cafe, with reproduction crockery used in the service. Fitted very well with the rest of the shop; not just a gift shop, but a place you could very well expect to see in Glastonbury! A small neg; a little more care needs to be taken with categorising the food, as while I was there, one of the more knowledgeable members of staff amended a 'Vegan' choice on the blackboard, as it included a cheese.

Pros: Good value, Great atmosphere/ staff/ food

Small & cosey place

Decent little cafe situated at the back of a gift shop. Small & cosey. Very friendly & talkative staff. The vegan butternut squash soup was very good. Food & drink served in local made crockery, which is also available to buy. Definitely worth a visit.
