Cute bakery. Lots of options. We tried the cheese danish and s’mores poptart. Both were enjoyable.

Favorite bakery - Edit
Nice atmosphere with a comfortable sitting area. TONS of options. I haven’t had anything I didn’t like. They have recently moved to this location on Ridge Ave and now serve drinks like coffee and tea. Get the pop tarts, get the cake cups, definitely get a rice crispy treat.

Delicious - Edit
Such a great vegan bakery! The sweets were so good, fresh, and full of flavor. It’s hard to find vegan desserts that taste this delicious, but everything here was amazing. You would never guess they’re vegan. Definitely coming back again!

The absolute best - Edit
Everything I have ever had from Crust has been delicious, but my fave has to be the chocolate cake with banana icing . Prices are reasonable and the staff are always super nice.

Love the new location - Edit
It's so bright and spacious compared to the old location. And smells amazing (they were baking scones while I was there). I have had the pop tarts, cheese danish, cherry danish, and a couple different cake slices. Everything has been perfect, not a disappointed bite yet. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Every time I go I see something that delights me, fancy piping work on a pumpkin cake for Halloween, silly vegan pop tarts, beautiful dinner rolls, perfectly textured soft serve, and beautiful preorders for special holiday items!

DELICIOUS ICE CREAM - Edit
Great icecream. Made from pea protein I believe they said. Places normally use coconut, soy, oat, or almond. Very creamy and wish more would use a ripple type base! Would come back for just for that.

Not-Your-Average Vegan Baked Options - Edit
Crust was an accidental find. I was strolling down the main street in Manayunk and the familiar vegan word caught my eye. Inside, I was surprised by the variety of baked goods, past the usual cupcakes and cookies. Multiple refrigerators house cheesecakes, cake cups, tiramisu, breakfast bakes, monkey bread, and more.
Read moreWe bought a seeded card (Mother's Day is around the distant corner) and a chocolate strawberry cheesecake. The strawberry cheesecake was dense and creamy with a crispy Oreo crust. I'd love to return for the pop tart.

Last time here, we got a Chipwich and a Brookie. It’s been so long since I’ve had a chipwich (chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream in between). They nailed it!

Best Vegan Bakery - Edit
Listen. I’ve been eating Crust baked goods since they were a pop up. I remember hearing tales of their rinkidink operation and watched them grow (surviving a pandemic where they opened somehow in the middle of and becoming a neighborhood staple as a result) into what they are now. This well oiled machine of vegan baked delights has a plethora of options. You can get cookies, bars, pop tarts that will make your head spin, gluten free options, candy bars, boutique gift items, and savory pastries that bring a tear to my eye (in a good way). They clearly care about people, animals, the environment, and their customers. This is a big “do attend” for anyone in or around Philly.

Pros: Delicious treats, Friendly staff, Wide variety
Cons: Mid to high Prices (see note), Too far from my house

The BEST - Edit
If you’re looking for the perfect vegan cake, stop right here and order from Crust. I was looking for a vegan bakery in the city and came to Crust. The prices were reasonable and the reviews were nice, so I thought I’d try. I ordered the pistachio and raspberry cake and it is even better than I imagined it would be. The flavors together were delicious! Sweet but not overly so. Very filling, too! I’d also like to mention that the person who helped me at the counter was super nice and friendly. 🖤 Thank you so much for a nice birthday cake and experience. I’ll be back next time!!

Any dessert you can possibly imagine, they probably have it here. The cakes are PHENOMENAL. I've gotten some of their cup desserts and chocolates too and they're amazing. And bandit cheese!! My only issue is the prices but they're on par with other vegan places.

Pop tarts!! - Edit
I was in the area and saw this place and couldn’t pass it up! I got a wild berry pop tart (just as neon as my childhood, but much better taste and texture), a danish (so good and flaky for breakfast the next morning), and a slice of funfetti cheesecake. They had lots of great treats for sale, including Lagustas and Go Max Go as well. Masks are still required, which I appreciate, and they have them by the door for a donation

I didn’t expect to chance upon this bakery while in town but I’m glad I did! I think my favorite out of the 4 things I got was the sugar cookie, reminded me of those ones from the grocery store that I haven’t had since going vegan almost 4 years ago!!

Vegan Bakery in Quaint Town - Edit
We made the stop in after my daughter's discharge from CHOP. She picked out a melted snowman cup, icing and cake layered in a cup. She was very happy with it. I also purchased eggnog coffee cake (delicious!), raspberry matcha cheesecake (about 1.5" of cake with .5" of matcha cheesecake, and a raspberry glazed topping), three cookie sandwiches (delicious, a little harder than my liking but likely needed to make the sandwich.) There were many local products, even some from 3 hours up north where I'm from! COVID precautions made known by clear signage. LGBTQIA friendly.
