Ok. So I used to be a pie fanatic, then I became vegan 3 years ago and gave up on ever tasting a good pie ever again. Then I tried these pies from the Guelph farmer's market recently, AND IT BLEW MY MIND.
This woman at the Guelph market hand crafts these insanely delicious and beautiful pies, which happen to be vegan, but you would never know that.
The crust is buttery and melts in your mouth. There are so many unbelievable flavours to choose from, and it's made with ALL non-GMO and locally sourced ingredients!! I was very impressed. My current FAVE is the Manchurian, which has a savoury Indian potato filling. Holy good god it's delicious. My favourite dessert pie is the Rumkin - the best pumpkin pie with a splash of rum. Ugh...SO good.
It's all handmade too! And you can buy them frozen or freshly baked there. I can't wait until they sell them somewhere in Toronto!
