Creative Vegan Dishes and Amazing Shakes - Edit
Crumb is such a great place, we loved it so much that we came back twice during our holiday. They offer lots of vegan options and really care about healthy, creative food.
Read moreWe had lunch here both times and left completely full. The coffee is great and their vegan milkshakes are a must try, all eight ice cream flavours were vegan which is amazing.
The staff is super friendly and both times we received a free dessert, such a nice touch. Highly recommended if you are looking for tasty vegan food with a healthy twist.

The Magic Shell Protein Smoothie Bowl included a base of handmade sugar-free granola, nuts, seeds, bananas, strawberries, almond milk, and dates, topped with praline protein. The "magic shell" wasn't what I expected, and I barely tasted any granola, but I still enjoyed the bowl. They also gave us a free pastry!

Best place in Heraklion for mostly sweets, but also some savory food. Everything is perfectly labelled, no bad surprises for vegans, people with allergies or other dietary restrictions. Super friendly owner and staff. If anything is unclear, you can ask them. English works very well. Everything is handmade locally, so they know all the ingredients.

Our Favorite Spot in Crete - Edit
We visited Crumb Café first time after exploring Knossos, and it was so good that we came back two more times during our trip! The variety of vegan options is outstanding, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They ask about special dietary requirements straight away to be able to accommodate well.
Read moreThe portion sizes are generous and they offered us complimentary cakes on each visit, which was such a lovely gesture! We were travelling with our 1-year-old and appreciated that they provided a changing mat in the restroom. However, there wasn't a baby chair, which would have been helpful.
They offer plenty of vegan pastries as well.
Overall, Crumb is a fantastic spot for anyone looking for delicious vegan food and a relaxed vibe. Highly recommended!

Stopped here for brunch and grabbed a bunch of pastries to go as well, very friendly service. As reviews have said, there so many vegan options! The mushroom gyro with tomatoes sauce was 👌🏽👌🏽the pancakes are huge, soaked in a pool of Nutella and oh so delicious as well!

Wish I could give 5 stars as Menu is ~90% vegan as default (for the items that aren't, you can veganize it); healthy and fresh ingredients; lots of options: from vegan wraps, sandwiches, pancakes and salads) to vegan ice creams (many different flavours), vegan cakes and cookies to yummy vegan smoothies, fresh juices and delicious vegan coffees.

It's my fav place in Heraklion; it is a bit away from the the Old Town but definitely worth a walk, I promise;)

I was first confused about this place, as when I passed I only saw the sign advertising vegan coffee, and thought it was a bit of a joke. When we came back later we found out that they have many vegan savory and sweet pastries. We had a filled whole grain sandwich which was a bit dry and not so tasty. We also tried the Ferreros and a cream filled cake that reminded me a bit of "Kinder Pinguin" both was quite tasty. We came back later and tried the Snickers and Lila Pause bar. The Lila Pause bar was really delicious😄

So much delicious vegan food (sweet and savoury) and the staff are also lovely! I’ve been here nearly every day on my trip to Crete and tried a selection of the food. The ice cream is delicious and the cakes are Devine. Definitely recommend trying this place.

5 stars for the vegan ice cream. It was great. I tried several flavors over a few different days. All except one are vegan and many others are gluten free (as of 10/08/22. I’m not sure if they rotate flavors). I also tried the vegan snickers bar, but it wasn’t very good. All the baked goods are clearly labeled if they’re vegan (as well as several other labels including gluten free)

I had planned to go to crumb for dinner as I noticed they are open late but unfortunately they don’t prepare fresh food for the evenings so it was only a few leftover sandwiches. I went for dinner somewhere else and came back for some ice cream. There were 7 vegan ice cream flavours, I chose Ferraro.
Read moreIt’s sugar free which impacted the texture of the ice cream and made it quite hard and icy. I would have preferred regular ice cream. I’m a dietitian and sweeteners are not necessarily any healthier than sugar- carbs aren’t bad for you! I looked at the ingredients and they use a lot of maltitol which may be a problem for IBS sufferers.
I had also asked to try the rum and raisin flavour as I was thinking of getting it but the lady wouldn’t let me try before buying.

In fact so many that it was hard to choose. Went with the lemon pie and the bounty bar. The pie filling was delicious but the crust and the bounty bar were unfortunately very dry, could be because they were glutenfree ans sugarfree? Didn’t make me go back, but it was definitely nice to see so many vegan cakes in the middle of the city.
