1-Star Review for Crestline Cafe (August 13, 2025 Visit) Title: Rude staff, violent threats, filthy environment, and unhinged behavior — NEVER again We’ve been loyal patrons of Crestline Cafe for over 15 years, even back when they were in Top Town. We always tipped generously, supported the business, and enjoyed the food — until August 13, 2025, when the entire experience became a disaster. We waited 30 minutes for pancakes. Asked three times. Got nothing but vague, evasive responses. Finally, we said we’d leave if food didn’t come in 3 minutes. Magically, it showed up in 2. Not out of care — out of pressure. The waitress (who claimed to be the manager) slammed the plates on the table with attitude. No apology. No explanation. Just contempt. The same woman had raw, open-looking facial wounds — exposed sores or warts on her chin. Extremely concerning from a health perspective. No bandage, no covering — completely exposed. In any proper business, this would be a health code violation. Ordered 3 glasses of milk. Got 3. Billed for 6. Charged $6 per glass instead of $3. No correction offered. No accountability. Just blatant overcharging. When I calmly asked what was going on, she snapped, pointed at the kitchen, and said “Don’t you see?” — referring to one lone person back there. I asked again if they were short-staffed, and she exploded, yelling that I was “always rude” and launched into a meltdown. Totally inappropriate, hostile, and unstable behavior from someone allegedly in charge. I approached the cashier — a tall, skinny, young white guy with long blond hair and blue eyes — and asked to speak to a real manager. He told me: “You’re bothering our customers. You’re about to be thrown out through the window.” That’s a direct physical threat to a peaceful customer — made while I stood there with my wife and daughter. I told him I’d call the police. He backed off immediately and turned his back on me. Beyond shameful. The plates were chipped. The glasses were dirty. The whole restaurant has deteriorated into a filthy, depressing dive. What used to be warm and clean now feels like a neglected mess with staff who don’t care. This isn’t the Crestline Cafe it used to be. It’s now hostile, unhygienic, overpriced, and mismanaged. Between the unsanitary wounds, verbal abuse, double charges, and a physical threat by the cashier — this place is no longer safe or respectable. Never again. Crestline Cafe is dead to me.

Very friendly service

It has great customer service. They have impossible burger to be replace with any of their burgers! Onion soup is vegan without the cheese, and so is their veggie soup! Very nicee staff, they seem to be VERY OPEN to plant based suggestions! So don't be afraid to call and suggest

I agree wholeheartedly, accept for the French Onion soup as it has beef broth in it. Also the impossible burger Hass to be ordered without cheese or mayo to make it vegan, but yes you can order any of the burgers as an impossible burger just remember those few things! And I agree their customer service is excellent! It’s a cozy little spot on the mountain!
