If You Like Pina Colada… - Edit
Expectations were dialled up to eleven for what I had been informed was one of the premier brunches in Dubai. Straight off the bat, the level of service matched these lofty claims and would continue to be of this standard throughout; this was certainly something I couldn’t fault. So too the drinks selection, I don’t mind divulging that I partook in one or two (perhaps twelve) of the really rather tasty pina coladas that were being slung by the friendly, and thankfully/dangerously highly efficient bar staff. This however is where things start to peter out slightly. While the quality and selection of the food was good, it wasn’t on par with what I had hoped it would be. I did enjoy the meal, the experience and the ambience overall, it just felt as though something was missing that would have justified the hype, and the price-tag. Perhaps the best indication of this was the fact that the best items I had were actually the selection of breads and the sweet potato fries, though the fried rice does deserve an honourable mention. As I say, this place was not bad by any means, but I can’t help but feel I won’t be in hurry to repeat the occasion anytime soon.
