New name =Deer Creek

Creekside Bar has changed to Deer Creek. It’s under new management. There is really no vegan meal here—only vegetarian. I’m so disappointed. I got a quinoa bowl—hold the egg. That’s about it.

Pros: The location by the creek is nice

Cons: No vegan options besides Brussels sprouts, Don’t care for whining dogs allowed

The veggie sandwich was SO GOOD

Honestly this was some of the best food I’ve had at a restaraunt in so long. My friends are not vegan but I am, and they got apps and I got the veggie sandwich. We all were just astounded at how good it all was. The veggie sandwich had homemade bread, fennel and beets, harissa sauce, and sherry vinaigrette with lettuce. I had them hold the whipped feta. Honestly, it was one of the best and most unique sandwiches I’ve ever gotten at a restaurant. The drinks were also unique and awesome. Plus the beautiful patio overlooking the rushing water in the creek. Icing on the cake? The server was super cool and funny and made our experience awesome. I will come back here every time I’m in Nevada city
