it was probably the worst bakery i had in my life. it’s fat, it’s oversugary, it’s expensive. terrible eating experience. that pistachio thing, do they make it literally in oil? it’s heavy, it’s disgusting to eat. and 5.5€ for this? are you serious?

The pastries were really good! Loved the Rosemary twist and the apple danish. Not as much a fan of the pistachio but the texture of the cruffin was amazing.

We went here twice on a short Rotterdam trip to get coffee & Matcha and try some of their baked goods. Sadly I didnt get around to trying their (few) savory options but the sweet stuff was all great: the banana bread, the Chocolate Babka and the cinnamon roll with orange glaze. I'd have loved to try out all the options. The Café itself is cute and the service was very friendly both times. The chairs could be a little more comfy, but if I lived here I would definitely be a regular.

Very nice shop with amazing all vegan pastries. Just got to try the strawberry cruffin and it was great and had a light filling. Cappuccino was also good! But pricey tho for two pastries and 2 drinks I paid more than 20 euros.

Excellent baked vegan options to sit in or take away and they also serve drinks. They had a sign up saying all milk is oatly by default.
Read moreI had the pain au chocolat and a black coffee. The coffee I would rate so-so but the pain au chocolat was absolutely incredible. Flakey, gooey on the inside and very “buttery”. Absolutely incredible.

Ik had een flat white (met havermelk) en een kaneelbroodje. De koffie was erg lekker! Het kaneelbroodje vond ik ook erg lekker. Heerlijk fluffy en met een goede kaneelvulling en glazuurlaag. Mijn ervaring komt dus niet overeen met die van een andere reviewer. Ik ga hier zeker nog eens terugkomen om de andere gebakjes te proeven. De bediening is vriendelijk. 4 sterren omdat de tafelindeling wat rommelig is en het niet heel sfeervol is binnen. Mijn tafeltje was ook erg wiebelig.

Read morePs: after reading the reviews I have tried an extra pistachio pastry. It was better than the cinnamon bun but not spectacular in taste. I am really a vegan pastry and patisserie enthousiast and nevertheless I recommend to try one of the pastries here. Vegan options should be promoted. This way they’ll have the time and maturity to become better.

I went to Crave Coffee at about 11am on a Friday morning, it wasn't too busy. There was a selection of pastries and cheesecake slices to choose from, and both indoor and outdoor seating. I sat outside with an oat flat white and a delicious pistachio cruffin.

Read moreWe arrived right at opening time, but unfortunately there was only a very limited selection available, as most items were still in the oven. It would have been helpful if the staff had let us know that the fresh pastries weren’t ready yet and would take a while.
We ended up having a croissant from i think the day before, which was quite unpleasant—it was greasy and heavy. About 30 minutes after opening, the fresh baked goods finally started coming out.
I then tried a pastry called the Kimcheez Roll, which was tasty but also extremely oily.

The Rotterdam version of SaintJean - Edit
Maybe it's unfair to compare them, but if you only know Saint-Jean in Amsterdam, it's that but in Rotterdam. They're not affiliated, but both serve glorious pastries and cruffins. Nuff said right? And this one doesn't have a waiting line of a lot. My new favourite bakery!
