Experience could be improved - Edit
We were looking forward to trying some more traditional cuisine, even more so because of the nice location of this restaurant on Piața Mică.
Read moreFor starters we had the baked aubergine salad, which was ok but very heavy on the onions, so avoid it if you are not keen on that. We also had the mashed beans, which were ok, too, but tasted very much of garlic, so again, avoid if you don‘t enjoy that.
We then had the polenta with mushroom stew, which was very, very oily, which is why we didn‘t enjoy it that much. It was also a bit bland.
The vegan dishes are not marked on the menu, so we only knew what to order because of previous reviews here and the descriptions of the dishes.
I must say that the staff were not that friendly or welcoming. They didn‘t seem interested and also were not really helpful when I was searching for the restrooms.

Menu is in Romanian (just FYI) allergens listed but incorrect for some dishes (making them look vegan at a glance), staff don't speak great English (no problem) but also didn't seem interested in trying to understand vegan (in Romanian or take ppl's orders in general).

The mushrooms with polenta are amazing. Geniuenly. The amount of options is a little mid but good enough. The fried vegetables are tasty too, but you have to order bread extra as it's not included which is think is a bit rude as the price is as high as a normal meal but with no bread included. It wasn't clear how much that cost. (It's 3lei btw, so pretty okay:)) The homemade lemonade is pretty good. The salata de varza is okay, but I've had better. The ambiance is great though, and the allergens are labelled very clearly. The staff is friendly and responsive to questions. Overall a pretty pleasant experience, ableit a bit expensive!

Read moreThey offer one vegan dish which is the polenta with the mushroom "stew". It was quite good and definitely a filling portion. The other option were stir fried veggies and we had it with a side of fries and bread which was necessary as the vegetables are served as a rather small portion but they were delicious.
You can also order some small salads (mixed salad or cabbage slaw I think...).
All in all it was a good experience and we were happy to find somewhere to eat close to the market place, but for what we got I felt it was quite expensive.
Pros: location, tasty food, funny and likeable server

Die Auswahl an vegatrischen/veganen Gerichten ist sehr gering. Aber es war toll überhaupt mal traditionell-rumänisches Essen zu probieren. Es gibt 3 vegatrische Gerichte auf der Karte, davon ist eins auch vegan (Polenta mit Pilzen). Es war eine riesige Portion und absolut lecker!

The menu was labelled with allergens so it was easy to find the vegan options. Nothing amazing, but nice to try some traditional food. I had the mushroom stew which was huge and very filling.

They have a few vegan options to choose from in the menu. The mushroom stew with polenta I had and the vegan plum cake were decent, nothing too crazy.
Read moreI had the feeling that the waiters were avoiding me at some point because only one of them spoke fluent English and was sent by the others to take my orders. That led to me waiting for quite a long time until that English speaking waiter was available.
That waiter was super friendly, fun and helpful though, making up for the long waiting times.
The place itself has a great atmosphere and is situated very conveniently in the center of Sibiu.

Had the yummy mushroom stew (asking for it "de poste") and a delicious plum cake (also asking for "de poste). Great meal on the edge of a beautiful square.

We msg then first and they kindly listed everything we could order. We had the beans hummus with onion, the aubergine salad, the mushroom stew with polenta and the zucchinis stuffed with veggies without the cheese and everything was delicious. Glad we got to try traditional Romanian food.
