Just Perfection

If you want to enjoy a meal of fresh, vibrant vegetables in one of the most picturesque areas of Japan, this is the place for you. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Cotonoha. The salads were fresh and crisp, the curry had delicious depth of flavor, the soy meat was some of the juiciest I’ve ever had, and I will be dreaming about the cream that came with the chocolate banana cake. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Delicious and filling

I got the curry for 990 yen and was very full. It was delicious. Close to the station and open until 5pm so great for a meal before I headed back to the city. I'll definitely come here again. The place is larger than I imagined, which was great for social distancing. Wish they gave napkins with food, I had to ask. They also have take-away bento for 770. I recommend that they start a drink+dessert set to add on.
I made a review on Googlemaps too.

Pros: Delicious and filling, Very close to the train station, Kind staff even with no English

Cons: No shoes inside, Had to ask water frequently, I was 1 of 2 customers but no one checked on me

Cute restaurant and tasty food

They have a nice outdoor area for when the weather is good and several tables inside. For two people we had a Buddha bowl and a curry takeaway and two slices of banana bread/cake, and a soy latte and blueberry soy smoothie with coconut ice cream there while we waited about 10 min for the takeout to be ready.

The bentos were really similar but the curry one came with a small container of curry included. I really like this kind of cooking where whatever’s fresh that day is added. Even the hijiki, which I don’t normally like, was quite good with no overwhelming oceany flavor. The smoothie was quite tasty and would love to try the other flavor, strawberry, next time. The only thing that wasn’t standout was the latte which was more like a black coffee with just a bit of soymilk added.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and they were selling jewelry as well. The cherry blossoms on the street up to the restaurant were gorgeous.

I did note they looked to be using real leather coasters-the restaurant didn’t used to be vegan and just changed over in Feb. so they may be using the same coasters from when it was a non-vegan restaurant.

Will definitely be back! Recommended

Pros: Excellent food , Fresh ingredients , Friendly staff

Cons: Leather coasters

Good vegan food in a nice atmosphere

The restaurant is an indoor seating area with four tables and an outdoor deck where you can eat with your dog. Indoors you must take off your shoes. It is conveniently located about a five-minute walk from Kitakamakura Station.

Recently the restaurant has changed its menu to 100% vegan and organic food. I think they have taken a big step in the right direction. The food is now a modern, Japanese, vegan cuisine. Soy-meat, mock eggs and other vegan food are blended with vegetables. Even the sweets are vegan.
Unfortunately they don’t have an English menu yet, but it is coming soon. The staff is friendly and helpful, but they don’t speak English.

Take out is available.

Pros: Close to Kitakamakura station. , Outdoor eating available. , Lots of natural light.

Cons: No free wifi. , No English menu. , Need to take off your shoes.
