Room for improvement

Having visited the Barbican branch more than once I expected a similar experience, but it was very different.
The decor is tired, the loos were terrible and messy, so that wasn't a good start.
They were 6 of us and the restaurant wasn't very busy on a Sunday lunchtime.
Various parts of our orders were missed, incorrect and late.
The only vegan starter was a beetroot salad which was good, quite light.
2 of us tried the tempeh. It is under the steak menu, but they were reluctant to bring any of the sauces which should be included. The only vegan one is gravy, I had to request it twice as my food got cold. When we asked for mushroom sauce they bought mushrooms which we'd already had.
The tempeh was terrible, it had a weird acidic flavour (walnut?).
The vegan praline tart was good.
Won't be back!

Not your usual "boring" vegan options

I sometimes visit Côte Brasserie with omnivore friends because I'm usually pleasantly surprised by their selection of vegan options. While the vegan menu isn’t extensive, the dishes available are thoughtfully crafted and delicious. This time in the Marylebone branch, I enjoyed a satisfying and flavoursome pumpkin soup and an interesting mushroom cassoulet, staying true to Côte’s French-inspired style. The atmosphere was cozy but quite busy and noisy on a Wednesday night. It does make a lovely spot for a casual yet enjoyable dining experience. A good option for anyone looking for a classic brasserie feel with vegan-friendly choices.

Pros: The flavoursome and interesting dishes

Cons: A bit busy and noisy

Côte Brasserie

I really loved the vegan French onion soup. Very surprised this was even on the menu! The side of peas was also delicious and presented very well. They also offered several other vegan options on their menu, which I am looking forward to trying next time.
