Hidden Gem - Edit
We visited on December 1st for the first time. The atmosphere and jazz music is so relaxing and soothing as soon as you enter. The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming. He was extremely helpful and we loved that he told us that he grows most of his food himself.
Read moreA true hidden gem worth visiting not only for the warm atmosphere and friendly owner. But the food was absolutely delicious!

Slow - Edit
We were there at the same time as the reviewer below and the food really was very slow. When it came it absolutely didn’t resemble jerk chicken and rice in the slightest (was more like scrambled tofu and rice), but what we got was delicious, hence the 4*. Really cute place, but the menu was about 3 choices with no sweets at all, and it took a while!

Far too slow - Edit
We were there almost an hour before they even took our order. This is simply unacceptable regardless of how good the food is. Only one person was working there and he only seemed to be able to do one thing at a time. There were only two other couples there so not busy. Every thing seemed to be a chore for him and he even asked us to clear our tables for him. The jerk chicken and rice was probably ok but I had to eat it too quickly to tell as we were now running late. Another couple had to take their food with them. Only the jerk chicken with rice and two toasties were available. We would probably not recommending this place unless you have lots of time to spare.

Gorgeous food & dog friendly - Edit
We had the jerk chickn and rice, huge portions for £8 each. It was one of the best meals we've had in a very long time, amazing flavours. The owner is so cool and friendly too! Dog friendly with water bowls available. A great find after battling through the crowds on the promenade. Definitely recommend and we will look forward to going back when next in the area

Amazing food and such a beautiful oasis on the seaside - Edit
We had the jerk "chicken" rice and it had so much flavour, so much so I literally said I could eat that every day of the week and never get tired of it. The guy who runs the place was very friendly too and we ended up having a nice chat about alternative living and his awesome marshmallow crocks 👌 Wish we could have picked this cafe up and taken it back home with us ❤️

Simply put - some of the best food I've ever eaten, and some of the best vibes I've ever had the pleasure of being surrounded by :)

If you're ever in the proximity of this place, or even if you're not - it's a must-go!

Seeked this place out, obviously and glad i did. Whilst it's full of odds and sods (charity shop chic) which isn't really my thing, the welcome and vibe grabbed me.
Read moreReally nice owner, and the food was AMAZING at a great price (verging on cheap).
Food was in a box, which i'm not fussed about but a coffee needs to be in a mug, i'm sure he has his reasons (classic; dishwasher Vs paper boxes and cups debate).
It's a must, just for the jerk chick'n rice dish and toastie!

First time visiting the Cosy Jazz Cafe and I will 100% be visiting again.
Read moreAll food and drinks were vegan/plant based. I had a hot chocolate as it’s so hard to find a completely vegan hot chocolate locally. I would highly recommend the Jerk chicken rice. The portion size was huge and comes in a takeaway box which is handy and means I can have it for tea.
Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu next time I visit.
It’s such an intriguing cafe to visit with beautiful artwork, games and books all around. Lots of things to keep you entertained. #Veganuary

The best Vegan cafe I have been to. - Edit
Welcome to Blackpool. We have the best park in the U.K., the tallest rollercoaster in the U.K. The worlds largest mirrorball and the worlds best water ride - Valhalla. We also have a Victorian era tower, miles of perfect beach and the Cozy Jazz cafe. I saved the best till last. An amazing space which is always full of colourful people, relaxing Jazz music and great food. Play chess or a board game whilst you wait for your food or have a chat with the person next to you because they are always fascinating or just drink in the atmosphere. The portions are more than generous and the owner Josh is ace.

Nice food (with a side order of conspiracy theories?) - Edit
So, let's get the pros out the way - The philly cheese steak and jerk chicken (both vegan of course) were tasty and were very generous portion sizes. The decor, with sofas and low lighting and incense helped bring on the cafe's titular 'cosy'. It basically comes across as a lovely little, chilled vegan cafe. All to the soundtrack of jazz (which I can take or leave but if it's your thing, great! If you hate it, you won't be able to last long in there).
Read moreOne thing that I can't say is necessarily a pro or a con is that the waiting time on food and even drinks is very (VERY) long. If you go expecting this, then it is nice to be slowed down from the hustle and bustle but if you are hungry, an off the cuff visit here is not for you.
So. The cons. All the cups, plates, cutlery was disposable. It was shocking actually, that our teas came in disposable cups and our food in cardboard boxes, even more so due to the fact it is a vegan place.
And the vibe...well...it was all very friendly and relaxed, but the lack of covid advice etc (admittedly after July 19 2021) was strange - until we found The Light 'truthpaper', packed full of anti-mask and anti-vaccine stories and (apparently much-liked by Piers Corbyn - yikes!). A regular customer, sat on a table next to us, also played a loud video at one point, about conspiracy theories.
Despite the nice food, perhaps best avoided.

Lovely quirky chilled out place, allowed our dog in. Loved the addition of the games and books that were available. We had the jerk 'chicken' rice which was full of flavour! Not spicy but you can add spice to taste with bottles available on table. The portion size was also huge for me so I took the rest of mine home. We also took some chocolate fudge cake back with us which was delicious!
