yummy - Edit

We went there on Sunday morning. My husband had chocolate and banana pancakes which also come with scramble tofu and potatoes. I had the sundae with lemon oreo ice cream and cookies and cream ice cream as well. It was delicious. Seems a popular place for brunch.

Endless menu of unique vegan treats - Edit

The staff is so sweet and very passionate! The food is out of this world and it’s in such an adorable location in Kensington! Every time I’m in Toronto I go to Cosmic Treats. I think I died and came back to life while eating the macaroni and cheese balls! I was impressed and it takes quite a lot to impress a vegan from vancouver!

Pros: junk food

Love it! - Edit

The peanut butter chocolate cheese cake is sooo good! The lentil soup was pretty nice as well. Cool, cozy place. I would just add more options, like burgers. But the lasagna I had was pretty nice!

good for desserts - Edit

The desserts here are great, although their soft serve ice cream was pretty gross.

The food is mediocre, would not order again.

The place is a great idea but the service is definitely lacking! It is quite apparent the owners have no previous restaurant business experience.

The desserts are good (expensive) but not worth the poor service. After giving this place multiple chances, I do not return to this location because the desserts are not worth the horrible service!

delicious cakes and ice cream - Edit

We were holidaying in Toronto and ate something from this place almost everyday. The icing on the cupcakes and brownie were delicious. The cupcake was lovely and moist. We also had ice cream and cookies from there. They were both very tasty and I was excited to see waffle cones with chocolate and sprinkles on them. Highly recommend!

fantastic vegan ice cream! - Edit

Divine vegan ice cream! The berry cheezcake flavour was the best vegan ice cream I've ever tried. That being said, the salted caramel was so salty I could not eat it

Nice food, not enough GF - Edit

We went here in the evening and got hard shakes (milk shakes with alcohol) and ice cream. They were really nice and a good size. Unfortunately they didn't really have many GF options so I couldn't try their cakes. They also have a savoury menu which we didn't try. They do have some vegan chocolate for sale which is nice - we picked up some Buccaneer and Twilight bars for the journey home (like Milky Way and Mars Bars)

Pros: Great ice cream, Vegan chocolate

Cons: Not much gluten-free

Great custom cakes, ice cream, and savory dishes too - Edit

I ordered a custom cake for a group of omnivores, and they loved it. (Marble cake with chocolate icing, Oreo cookies, and Oreo crumbs.) It was a hit, and it was a very good value too for such a large, heavy cake! I also tried the cappuccino ice cream (very good), mac-and-cheese balls (great), and the 'chicken' pot pie (so-so). They sell a lot of interesting candy too, as well as soft-serve ice cream. Lots to love!

Pros: Easy to order cakes online, Friendly staff, Lots of choices

Cons: None

Dessert - Edit

I was so thrilled when my friend and I decided to stop here for dessert. It was absolutely perfect. The server was amazing and patient as we decided to go through the menu and make a tough decision. I chose the brownie/cookie with homemade peanut butter ice cream a la mode and hot fudge. Oh man, was it ever good. I highly recommend this place :) You won't be disappointed!

Pros: Completely vegan, Amazing Staff, Lots of Options

amazing food, wonderful staff - Edit

An all vegan place, located in kensington market with plenty of choices, savory and sweet. I decided for a delicious "chicken" pie with beetroot fries. Even though I was already quite full after having eaten that, I couldn't resist the sweet temptations of the place and ordered a chocolate peanut butter cheesecake...seriously the best cake I ever had!! Sure, I had to roll back home, but that was SO worth it...!
Besides the amazing food I want to emphasise the friendly and attentive staff there. I felt very welcomed and comfortable there :)
100% recommendable!

Pros: all vegan, delicious , nice atmosphere

Cons: none

Worst experience at a restaurant EVER, and I'm not exaggerating - Edit

My family was so excited to try out Cosmic Treats, unfortunately we had probably the worst dinning experience of our lives. We ordered that fried mac n cheese balls as an app and they looked and tasted like the fryer oil hadn’t been changed in weeks. We ordered the dorito encrusted tofu, sausage and peppers sandwhich and the spaghetti and meatballs for my daughter. We upgraded sides on 2 of the entrees to fried cheese sticks and jalapeño poppers. The fried cheese sticks were gross with gummy daiya in it’s most liquid form melted in the middle. When I expressed my distaste for the cheese sticks the waitress replied “yeah it’s vegan cheese, that’s why” which since I am vegan, I took offense to, because vegan cheese doesn’t have to be gross. I requested to swap the side of sticks for the jalapeño poppers (or should I say popper because the portion was exactly one jalapeño popper cut into slices and fried for an extra $3) the waitress said I could get the poppers but I would have to pay for the cheese sticks that I didn’t like and only ate 1 of and then pay an additional $3 for the poppers. Needless to say I did not order another $3 jalapeno. We had ordered my 4 year old daughter the spaghetti and meat balls. When it arrived she had one bite and told us that it was “too spicy” I tried for myself and the tomato sauce was extremely spicy even for me. The waitress knew we were ordering this dish for a child and never mentioned the level of spice. When I told the waitress that it was too spicy and asked her to take it back she told us that “they can’t take the spice out of the sauce so I don’t know what you want me to do.” I asked if we could get some noodles with just earth balance and the veggie balls. She came back about 15 minutes later saying that the kitchen could do plain noodles with earth balance and no veggie balls for $4. We said that was fine because we had finished our entrees by then and our daughter had been picking off our plates and was very hungry. The waitress then asked us if we wanted the other spaghetti and meatballs boxed up to go because “you still have to pay for it.” I was floored. I have never been treated so badly at a restaurant. I asked to speak to the manager and she told me that “we don’t really have a manager.” We had planned to order a few desserts but my daughter still hungry and we were so disgusted with our experience that we left and went to Bunners to get something for her to eat and a soft serve cone. I will NEVER be going b

circuselliot 08 Nov 2016 - Hello. This is Elliot, the owner of Cosmic Treats. I’m very sorry you had a disappointing experience at the restaurant. We do look at all feedback that we receive so we can figure out how to improve upon the food and service that we provide. I have spoken with all of my staff about when to contact myself when a manager is not available and a customer would like to speak with someone in charge about any aspect of their experience, which we certainly should have done in your case. I am also looking into the other feedback that you provided for opportunities to implement new, or improve upon existing, policies and procedures. Again, my sincere apologies.

Delicious desserts! - Edit

My sister and I managed to find this place after a whole day of eating at vegan restaurants/cafes and were really full, but couldn't resist getting something while we were there! We shared the chocolate peanut butter cheesecake (it's so lovely and dense, you will die) and the cookie bottom brownies (so good and the only reason I ate it in two sittings was because I was so dead from the day of eating vegan junk). I definitely want to come back when possible to try everything else on the menu!

Pros: Very good desserts

Cons: A little expensive but hey, it's good

Best Vegan Ice cream - Edit

Recently visited in search of vegan ice cream that actually tastes good and brought non-vegan friends. The ice cream was really amazing, tasted incredible, if I didn't already know it was vegan, i wouldn't be able to tell the difference! I will definitely return to try the other non dessert items.

Pros: friendly atmosphere, amazing desserts

So yummy! - Edit

I went here and got a scoop of their cashew-based chocolate ice cream and went back late to get a chocolate cupcake! They were both a little pricey, but absolutely delicious. My boyfriend who's a non-vegetarian even thought my ice cream tasted like real ice cream. The cupcake was so rich and chocolatey. I am looking forward to coming here again!

Pros: Delicious, Good selection, All vegan

Cons: Pricey
