Unique in Tokyo - Edit

The food stand is beautiful and the atmosphere at Commune 246 is probably unique in Tokyo. The crowd is heavy on foreigners and pretty much everything's in English. If I forgot I was in Tokyo, I might think I was in the USA or northern/central Europe.

I appreciate a vegan stand here but unfortunately the food could be better. They are trying to make something you'd find in Portland I think, but it's just a small portion of weird things mixed together (lettuce, cabbage, a couple potato chips, mushrooms, soy nuggets, different sauces).

It's worth a visit to see the Commune 246 space and try Cori, but I wouldn't go again for the food.

Pros: Unique atmosphere, beautiful stand

Cons: Strange combination of food, small portion

Awesome vibe - Edit

I went to Commune264 for Cori vegan food truck, but it is closed on Tuesdays. Fortunately right across is a Hawaiian food truck with a good vegan plate for 1000 JPY.

I went back on not-Tuesday, and ate the vegan plate (1000 JPY). Points because they gave me an actual plate instead of disposable stuff. The food was a mix of the usual salad, pickles, fried soy meat and mushrooms but also included the best scrambled tofu I've ever had. It was squishy and creamy, possibly the closes to eggs I've come across. It was only a small amount, but worth trying the plate for that I think. They have lots of other options too, and some interesting drinks on the menu.

Commune246 itself is a great place to hang. It's a covered outdoor seating area with a whole bunch of food trucks, and a really nice vibe. It also includes Wired cafe, which provides wifi, power and plenty of seating - a great spot for digital nomadding.

So Cool! - Edit

The food was great, items I would have at home, so it was my style of comfort food, generous portions, and it was the coolest spot I've been to in Japan. You would never know there was such a diverse, indie, hipster area, unless you were specifically looking for it. There was a DJ spinning, people from all walks of life eating, drinking, and dancing. It was a great experience!

Pros: Delicious , Good price , Great atmosphere

Cons: Not a lot of seating

Cool spot in Omotesando - Edit

Food is good, many choices and pretty cheap! It's the right place if you are walking in the fancy area of Omotesando and you want to eat in a more relaxed atmosphere. Lots of people at the commune, pretty much all the time, sometimes there are people playing music/singing.

Delicious - Edit

Located in the trendy Commune 246, this food stand was great! I had the falafel sandwich, and the statement that they have the best falafel is pretty spot on. Topped with a variety of condiments and stuffed with leafy greens, it was a truly delicious dish. The only downside was how the food took around 10 minutes to be prepared, but the owner notified me of this beforehand, but it was a shame when your friend has to wait for your food to come. Can't wait to come and try the other dishes!

Pros: Delicous, Nice surronding, Good vibe

Cons: Long wait

Pretty great Falafel - Edit

Ordered the falafel plate, which was really good although a bit different to the more traditional falafels I'm used to. Atmosphere was nice and Coris was one of the few vegan places that were open lunchtime on a Sunday.

Pros: Good food, modern take on falafels, Pretty cool food truck venue

Cons: Bit noisy atmosphere, not a place to relax maybe

Yummy Vegan Foodstand! - Edit

I decided to check this place out after my usual lunch spot in the area, Pure Cafe, had sold out of sandwiches for the day and I was so glad that I did! The food was delicious and I loved the atmosphere of the food stand lot. I tried the vegetable bowl and it was so much more than just veggies. It had scrambled tofu and mock meat nuggets as well as brown rice and it was all topped off with a delicious sauce. I can't wait to go back.

Awesome and Delicious Food - Edit

Found Cori food truck at Commune 246 near Ometesando Hills, Shibuya.

Commune 246 hosts a bundle of food stalls, shacks, caravan and shops. It's mostly outdoors with seatings and music playing in the background. It has a chilled festival feel.

Cori vegan food stand is the only vegan option within the commune. The food limited and is mostly fried. Went there over lunch and ordered the fried soy mean with spicy sauce. The food came with salad, fried soy meant drizzled with spicy sauce (which wasn't so spicy for me), some mushrooms and brown rice. And was served on a paper plate.

The texture of the soy meat was good t was flavorful. But the soy meat was a bit too greasy for me. I bit into a piece and it was oozing oil in my mouth. The overall meal was delicious and filling. It's the kind of food you would get from a food truck. Paid around ¥1400 for the meal.
