Excellent Dishes, High End Experience

Thoroughly enjoyed the many vegan dishes that Copra had to offer. The waiter was able to recommend about 10 options that were already vegan or could be modified. All of them were inventive and delicious in a high end setting.

We also got lucky and were able to walk in and get a table at 6pm in Friday!

Pros: Inventive Vegan Indian dishes, Large cocktail and wine list

High End Indian Experience

My friends and I stumbled upon this restaurant simply from wanting Indian food nearby. And wow... the moment we walked in, I thought, "okay, I feel really underdressed for this place."

This gorgeous two-floor South Indian restaurant is stunning and a great spot to impress someone for dinner. Menu items are on the pricier end with items nearing the $30+ mark for entrees. Our server informed us that most items can be made vegan.

We started with the chutney sampler (made vegan) and it was fabulous. Loved the gooseberry and ghost pepper chutneys. For our mains, we split their Cauliflower Curry (which was PACKED with fragrant spices and apples to have a wonderful balance) and their VOD (Vegetables of the Day; three individual sized veggie platters that were vegan). I loved their jackfruit dish and the spicy lentils that came with the VOD. They are able to provide basmati rice as a vegan option.

The food was incredible and the ambiance was top notch. It's certainly a 'once in a very long while' experience for me but I'm glad we were able to try this place. Their drinks were great too although again, pricy at $18 a cocktail.

Reservations are recommended. My friends and I walked in on a weekday and were given a table due to a cancellation.

Pros: Beautiful ambiance, Vegetarian dishes can be made vegan

Cons: Quite pricy
