Great vegan Italian

Food: I love that they have a whole vegan menu. The eggplant was so good!
Service: I don’t want to speak for all of the servers in the restaurant, but the server that we had was really on unattentive. She messed up our order, took really long to bring our drinks.
Interior: classic Italian restaurant feel. Very cozy and ample seating

A Page Of Vegan Menu Options

The restaurant menu has a dedicated page of vegan items. They include a handful of salads, two pasta dishes (risotto and bucatini), pizza, and eggplant parmigiana.

We had the bucatini and the eggplant parmigiana (w/o vegan chicken) and enjoyed our meal. The food is standard neighborhood Italian restaurant - and its nice to have vegan options. They also have a vegan gluten free pasta available.

Service was ok. Reservations recommended. As the evening progressed, and the restaurant became more crowded, it became very loud. Portion sizes were fine - but not plentiful. They don’t serve heaping portions, like you find at many Italian restaurants.

Pros: Dedicated page of vegan options, Tasty vegan entrees

Cons: Average

Friendly spot for vegans in Cleveland Park

Good, if not spectacular, veg/vegan friendly restaurant. Casual, neighborhood place. Friendly staff, good prices.

Upscale, unique and hearty vegan fare

The waiter was totally vegan-savvy (& cute)and there is a whole page of vegan apps & main courses. Only sorbet was vegan for dessert. Cozy Italian decor and innovative vegan menu, can walk from the National Zoo. Food was pricey but really delicious, great date spot.

Pros: Near the zoo, Generous portions, NOT healthy for once :)

Cons: Expensive

Mushroom Risotto!

I just had a big party at Coppi's to celebrate a birthday and most of my guests ordered from the vegan menu -- even the omnivores! I've had the Bucatini alla Carbornara and the Wild Mushroom Risotto -- both were delicious. Lemon sorbet for dessert. On other visits, I've requested a custom vegan pizza that is not listed on the menu and the staff is always quick to accommodate. It's always bustling and busy -- a great neighborhood spot!

Pros: multiple vegan options, staff very accommodating, casual atmosphere

Cons: very loud

Vegan menu section

This restaurant is very clear in its vegan options- they have a section reserved for those in need of vegan food (4-6 items). As an Italian restaurant, you can expect pasta and risotto. They have gluten free choices for vegans, too. Their salads are decent, but not vegan automatically - ask, and they can veganize a couple of them for you, but it ends up missing something.

The vegan items are soy-based, so if you don't do soy and are vegan, you're going to be a little more challenged here.

However, if your party wants to come to Coppi's, as a vegan, you can go and know they understand the concept of vegan and will work to make sure you can eat something! You won't be overly stuffed here, so don't arrive starving, or order more than just 1 dish.

Pros: Understands vegan food, Has a vegan menu section

Cons: No vegan salads

Delicious vegan

While I’m not 100% vegan, I am vegetarian and lactose intolerant so I’m always excited to find delicious vegan food and this is one of my favorite places. Coppi’s has a separate vegan section on its menu and the bucatini and risotto are both amazing. I think their vegan risotto is better than their non-vegan.

Pros: Delicious vegan dishes, Friendly staff

Cons: Street parking only
