Vegan hot dog often unavailable - Edit
Visited twice to try the Vegan hot dog...Both occasions the vegan hot dog was sold out / unavailable. Sounds like other reviews had similar experiences recently.
Read moreGreat if they could pop up a sign to say that the vegan option is unavailable. It's a long queue to get told it's sold out.
I tried the Halloumi hot dog the first time which was average / nothing special.
Pros: Chips are good, Good location, Good atmosphere
Cons: Vegan hot dog sold out more than once, Does the vegan dog exist?, Sound like from reviews that bun isn't vegan

The buns aren’t vegan, and you have to omit half the ingredients to make anything vegan; limited vegan sauces which doesn’t help.

It seems the menu has changed - Edit
I went there looking for the falafel/hummus wrap mentioned on here but sadly it was no longer on the menu. There was also no separate vegan section or vegan coleslaw that I had seen in earlier versions of the menu. They only had the vegan hot dog in the non vegan bun so I went elsewhere. See current menu in the pictures.

It does say ‘vegan friendly ask the staff for recommendations’ but in reality they don’t even offer vegan buns….we paid €40 for two cheap vegan sausages served on a salad (they ran out of fries) and to top it off, they offered us tortilla chips (which were also served on the Mexican hotdog) as a peace offering, but after checking they had milk In them. So not only did we leave hungry, we were also fed milk - not worth the money and we left hungry only having vegan sausage and salad.

My go-to in Chamonix - Edit
I have such a soft spot for Cool Cats! Over a total of maybe 10 days in Chamonix, I've probably been there six times. They don't actually have a ton of vegan options, but the couple that they do have — a veggie wrap (which you can add falafel to) and a falafel dog — are so satisfying after a day of trail running. High-quality food for a good price makes this a hard-to-beat spot in Chamonix.

Best vegan food we’ve had in the mountains - Edit
We had the falafel wrap and the staff are happy to make an adaption to the “hot dog” and serve the vegan sausage with sweet potato and salads (instead of the hot dog bun which is not vegan). There are less vegan options than the original menu but both choices were brilliant and flavourful. The staff were also really friendly. Definitely recommend🙌🏻

The staff is really nice, but sometimes the person at the front desk won’t speak French, which is strange for a place in France.

In a sea of cheese, butter, chocolates and crepes. We found this cool spot with heated outside area and blankets. Ta mainly hot dogs but you can get a side of coleslaw and veggies. The lady serving us was flexible and made the veggie option vegan!

We were initially disappointed that the bun had milk but ended up LOVING the fries with toppings! Our Omni friends ended up having to use a knife and fork to eat their dog, so it was probably easier to eat the fries!

Very nice place, cool vibe. Not for having a real lunch but rather for hanging out and grabbing a quick (but quality!) snack. Good home made lemonades as well and free plmped (mint, lemon, …) water. Note: Chamonix has the best tap water in the world, pimped or not😉

So looking forward to a vegan hotdog. Sadly this wasn’t on offer. The buns aren’t vegan and no vegan sausages. That said the falafel and avocado on fries was delicious.

Didn’t actually try the hot dogs but their sweet potato and avocado wrap with vegan sausage was very tasty and filling. Fries with guacamole (possibly not on the menu but a great vegan option) were delicious though quite oily. Excellent junky fix!
