Great take on the 'Full English' - Edit

Cook Daily's Asian bowls are always great but for a change I went for the Full English bowl which comes with a free cup of tea! Great tofu scramble served over their rice/quinoa mix. Plus sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes and some greens too. Tasty and filling.

Pros: Tasty, Filliing, Quick

Great Menu - Edit

I have eaten at Cook Daily a few times now and it is a great experience every time. The portion sizes are just right and each dish is a healthy meal. The menu is small but that doesn't make it any easier trying to try and pick something as everything on the menu sounds appetising. Will be back again soon to try something else on the menu.

Pros: Healthy, delicious food

Cons: Menu fairly small

incredible did - Edit

this place is just amazing. hid within box park you wouldn't expect it and it delivers every time. it will now be a regular eat out destination

Pros: so so delicious , many options

Cons: quite pricey, box park = no vibes

good food but slightly overpriced - Edit

Food was really good - they were accommodating and friendly and the options were clearly laid out on boards on the wall.

Only gripes were outdoor seating (personal preference but never been a fan - I don't enjoy food when I'm freezing cold) and for veggies and rice it was a teeny bit expensive - not unreasonable for the quality and area, but not cheap either

Pros: food, service, variety

Cons: price, seating

Excellent - Edit

I loved this place. Not a lot of place to sit down but the bowls are amazing, filling and so rich in flavours. The service is quite quick, you can even take it away and they have a £11 meal deal for a bowl and a smoothie. I'll go back as soon as possible !

Vegan fast food at its best - Edit

A vegan fast food experience. Quick but polite service, amongst interesting surroundings. Don't be mistaken however, this is a fast food shop, not restaraunt and the food is not particularly healthy

Updated from previous review on 2016-10-25

Pros: quick, convenient, fast food

Cons: not so many healthy choices / options , limited seating

Big bowls of vegan food! - Edit

CookDaily's bowls are really big and filling. There's a good range to choose from including BBQ, pad thai style, noodles, rice and quinoa. You can choose levels of spiciness and types of vegan "meat" or tofu chunks. Lots of fresh veggies.
Freshly cooked to order and brought to you at the seating inside their container or in the food court style benches outside.

Pros: All vegan, Plenty of seating in the food court , Big portions

Good, Healthy Food - Edit

The bowls are good value for only nine quid and they are a big portion, Healthy, filling and delicious. They even have raw dishes. Only problem is isn't a nice place to sit as it's kind of outside and can be cold and there aren't a lot of seats.

CookDailicious - Edit

Wow. These bowls are something else: very good range of options, and the food itself is really great. The BBQ bowl is especially worth trying: a kind of Chinese-type umami flavour mix which has proved hard to find since turning vegan. £9, so not super cheap, but worth it.

Much preferred to Home, the vegan restaurant just across the way (though that is also pretty good). Definitely worth visiting! Only downside is the lack of seating, and the fact that it's in BoxPark (unless that's your kind of thing).

FM

Pros: Good food, Friendly staff

Absolutely gorgeous! They have these bowls that are all £9, which seems overpriced but trust me it's worth it, the flavours are incredible, quick service and friendly too! Will come again trust

Pros: great food, nice environment , get what you pay for

Cons: nah it's all good

creative healthy vegan - Edit

this place really is phenomenal.
I've had a spicy bowl with okra and coco curry, a little ride dessert (wrapped in compostable banana leaf!) and a juice. all three things were delicious as can be!

Pros: big portion for little money, delicious , fresh

one of my favs in London - Edit

Shoreditch box park is a cool place to visit and this is the best vegan food around here. Casual vibe but food is tasty and served really quickly. try the green curry with some extra chilli

Tangy and tasty - Edit

Cook Daily is a friendly cafe located in Box Park in Shoreditch. There is plenty of choice and I highly recommend the udon noodles with a smoothie as the £11 meal deal. Definitely worth a trip.

Delicious! - Edit

I always have a deep urge to return for another big bowl of vegan goodness.
Most bowls are a mix of Japanese brown rice and quinoa with vegetables in different styles, and have extra veg/veg & tofu/veg & "chicken" at no extra cost.
A bowl with a smoothie is £11. Leave feeling most sated and alive.
They have just opened a new unit across the way called Home, cooking cuisine from their homelands of Thailand and Laos. Can't wait to try next time I'm in the area.

Can't figure it out - Edit

I have tried 3 of their meals so far, and even though they seem to contain different ingredients, they all kind of tasted the same! Not bad, but not amazing either. I am happy to have a vegan restaurant in the area, but I think the food could be improved a bit.

Pros: All vegan, Fun location

Cons: Food is just OK

One for the hipstafication of veganism - Edit

Don't get me wrong, the food is fantastic, and I WOULD eat there again!

HOWEVER

This place could be classed as another example of the gentrification of East London - I get that rents are high, but £8 for a medium sized bowl is way too expensive.

Vegetables are cheaper than meat right?

£4 for a tiny pre-made smoothie is ridiculous when you can get a larger one down brick lane market for £2.50.

However, you can offset the price if you have both bowl and smoothie for a tenner.

The more vegan eating places the better, and we should always support them when we can - but don't forget you're in Tower Hamlets - a poor part of town where half the population survive on benefits!

Pros: Great tasting food, Good clear choices, Close to station

Cons: Poor seating options, Fully vegan, Expensive gentrification prices

Healthy fast food - perfect! - Edit

I visited with my boyfriend on a recent trip to London. I had the Caribbean style bowl, he had an Asian style bowl, and we both loved it!

They were full of vegetables and felt really healthy. I wasn't too keen on the blue iced tea I bought, which was made of some kind of pea, but I think that says more about my feelings towards iced tea than the drink itself!

This place has such a great, young, vibe; I hope it stays around for a while so that I can visit again.

Pros: Healthy veggies, Great flavours, Young vibe

Cons: Limited drinks options, Pop-up, so may be temporary

Tasty, healthy, no fuss food bowls - Edit

This was exactly what I needed after a fitness class nearby. The selection of bowls was plenty. I had the one with the smokey BBQ sauce, which was very flavourful.
They do a meal deal that includes a bowl and juice or ice tea for £10. The server was super friendly.
Unfortunately there was some kind of music battle going on outside the container when we visited, which made it too loud to eat in. Luckily, it was sunny and so we are on the balcony. This might not suit everyone as others will consume meat dishes and/or smoke Shisha in the open, shared space.

Pros: Tasty, healthy food , Value for money , Very Shoreditch (read hipster)

Cons: Limited seating, Very Shoreditch (read hipster)

Good food but...... - Edit

The choices are clear and good, the food is pretty good, we had four different dishes and most of us were content but no-one was super impressed. The fresh juice was nice.
But the whole experience was ruined by the awful and loud "pop" music being forced upon us in the eating area of the Boxpark. We tried getting the people in the office to turn it down, we considered climbing up and unplugging the speakers but we ended up leaving early instead.
I would suggest getting food and eating elsewhere but for a good eating out experience go elsewhere.

Pros: Good inexpensive food., Limited range, No puddings!

Cons: Awful atmosphere noisy and hipster!, Meat dishes on sale in shared space.

A great addition to Vegan London - Edit

I saw a very enthusiastic respected reviewer tweet https://twitter.com/fatgayvegan/status/606768776428822528 describing this as "the best vegan food I've ever been served in London" so had to check it out and so far not disappointed. It's great Chef King is taking Vegan food to the in-crowd, trendy BoxPark; it was lovely to hear an enthusiastic customer chowing down with his partner, asking, 'So what is Vegan?' ! Also lovely to know that King was formerly "the Steak Master" went veggie after coming to the London Buddhist Centre www.lbc.org.uk and is now the Vegan Chef. Result all round!

Pros: Friendly, Good range of V tasty food (see menu pic), Totally Fresh Cooked

Cons: Serve till they run out - don't miss out

Good choice of healthy dishes - Edit

Just opened 3 weeks ago, in a shipping container on the first floor of BoxPark London (all the shops there are shipping containers). I would say it was an Asian-influenced eatery with some raw and some Ital dishes all 100% vegan mainly stir-fried bowls. A few low tables and a side bar if you want to eat in. I took out. There is lots of choice, 10 dishes, all vegan, e.g. "Raw Bowl" (raw veggies, fruit and cauliflower rice), "Le Garden" (sauteed greens and herbs, choice of tofu or "chikn"), "Yoga Bowl" (chickpea and sweet potato curry), "Full English" (tofu scramble, mushrooms, tomatoes, vegan sausages and a "cuppa tea"...Friendly staff too and I got introduced to the owner ;) I went for the "Hard Bowl" (yam, dumplings, plantain, ackee and rice) plus a green juice (drinks change daily apparently) for £10. Both were very tasty and filling.

Pros: Great tasting dishes, Friendly staff, Good Value

Cons: Walking past non-vegan places 2 get ther
