rico y saludable - Edit

Creative and delicious food - Edit
I've been here twice, but would be here at least once a week if I lived closer. It is a little out of the center but definitely worth the trip, especially because you don't usually need to make a reservation.
Read moreThe restaurant is quite big and quirky.
I've had the platano burger which is a homemade lentil burger COVERED in a sweet cabbage mixture between two fried plantains/platanos. It is delicious and completely different from any veggie burger I've ever had. My friend ordered the monster/monstruo burger which is as huge as it sounds. It was also very good. The monstruo/monster burger (but not the platano/plantain) was served with some delicious but oily fried potatoes. We left extremely satisfied and full for 40 euros!
The second time I went was for lunch on a Saturday because I was craving their burgers. Unfortunately, they do NOT offer their regular menu during the day. However, they did offer a burger on their daily menu/menu del dia. It was Italian style with pesto and was very good.
I had the croquettes/croquetas both times and they were a little different each time but equally delicious! There are six units and they are served with fresh lettuce leaves.
The daily menu/menu del dia included a dessert so we tried the tiramisu and the brownie. Both were okay. I don't like vegan desserts much though.
I enjoy that Cookaluzka - compared to other vegan restaurants - doesn't focus highly on processed vegan meats and cheeses. However, they do seem to use quite a bit of oil.
Overall, I highly recommend this place for their burgers and fun, spacious atmosphere. Customer service is also very good and I believe the menu is offered in English as well. Definitely one of my favorite vegan places in the city.

very good lunch and cozy atmosphere - Edit
Visited ones for lunch with five friends and colleagues while on a business trip in Madrid. Food was very good and looked great too! We had a menu deal with two courses and desert for a reasonable price. Plus we took away some healthy snacks for the evening. Very helpful and kind waiter, who could speak really good well Italian. Will definitely go back next time when staying in this area of the city.

Outstanding burger! - Edit
Definitely one of the tastiest veggie burgers I´ve ever had! The texture was just right and the toppings (which included caramelised red cabbage and houmous) were creative and delicious. A fine fusion of Latin American and Middle Eastern flavours! The accompanying roasted potato wedges were also very good (although I could have eaten more), as was the lemon and rosemary bizcocho. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, and obviously take great pride and pleasure in the food and service they provide.

Wonderful place - Edit
I came in early on a Monday morning when Madrid was about to wake up. First, I was given the breakfast menu. I explained that I had a 6h drive in front of me so I needed a lot of food to have a steady ground. They asked if I could wait and that was worth the extra 15 min. The Arepa burger was amazing. Maize-based bread and filled with great veggies and a pattie.

Very nice fusion vegan food - Edit
Read morePros: Home made, very good and creative healty food., Nice atmosfere, friendly attention., Rather cheap for the quality offered.

Nice vegan restaurant, friendly staff and good prices with "menu of the day". Not in the city centre but only four stops from Retiro underground station (underground stop is Conde Casal), worth the visit. ;)
